Study-APS CSP Waiting List: 1–2 Weeks → Less Than a Week. How Long Until Preliminary? DELHI VFS

I applied under the Study-APS category on Friday night and joined the waiting list (Delhi vfs). At that time, it showed an estimated waiting time of 1–2 weeks. By Tuesday, it changed to “less than a week.” For those who have experienced this before, how long did it take for you to move from the waiting list to the preliminary stage?

Delhi VFS CSP waiting time changed to 2–8 weeks. How much longer did it take for you?

Hi everyone,
My CSP waiting time for the German Embassy New Delhi (Language Course + Studienkolleg) changed from 2–6 months to 2–8 weeks on 30 July.
Today, it’s been 1 week since the status changed, but I’m still on the waiting list.
Has anyone been in the same situation? How long did it take after your status changed to 2–8 weeks before you received the “Make an appointment” option?
Thanks in advance!

German CSP Waiting List changed from 2–6 months to 2–8 weeks. How long did it take you to get an appointment?

Hi everyone,
I applied for a German national student visa (Language Course + Studienkolleg) through the Consular Services Portal (CSP) for the German Embassy in New Delhi.
I joined the waiting list on 26 June 2026. Until recently, my portal showed an estimated waiting time of 2–6 months, but today it changed to 2–8 weeks. My application is still on the waiting list.
Has anyone else noticed this change?
If your waiting time also changed to 2–8 weeks, how long did it take before you received the “Make an appointment” option?
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your timeline and experience. Thanks!

Anyone else stuck on the German Embassy New Delhi CSP waiting list for a language course + Studienkolleg visa?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar.
I applied through the Consular Services Portal (CSP) for a German national visa (Intensive Language Course + Studienkolleg) at the German Embassy New Delhi. I joined the waiting list on 26 June 2026 and I’m still waiting for an appointment.
My language course started on 1 July, and my institute has allowed me to attend classes online because of the visa delay. My B1 exam is on 18 September in Leipzig, and my Studienkolleg starts on 1 October.
Today, I received an automated CSP email saying that my application had not been processed for 30 days and could be deleted if it was not processed. I logged into the portal, clicked “Required Action”, and my application still shows “Waiting List.”
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal automated reminder while waiting for an appointment, or should I be worried?
Also, how long did it take you to receive your appointment after joining the CSP waiting list?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience. Thank you!

Germany Language Course Visa (India) – Still stuck on CSP waiting list since 26 June. Anyone else?

Hi everyone,
I’m from India and I applied for a German National Visa (Language Course Visa) through the Consular Services Portal (CSP).
Here’s my situation:
Applied and joined the CSP waiting list on 26 June.
My portal still shows “On Waiting List” (estimated waiting time: 2–6 months).
My language course started on 1 July, so I’m currently attending classes online because I still don’t have an appointment.
I have a combined pathway: A2 → B1 German language course, followed by Studienkolleg at the same institute in Germany.
My B1 exam is scheduled for 16 September in Germany, so I’m becoming very worried about the delay.
I have already contacted VFS, but they told me that the CSP waiting list is not under their control and that I have to wait.
I also contacted CSP, but I only received their automatic reply stating that they do not provide status updates.
What is confusing me is that I personally know applicants who applied after me and have already received appointment access or moved much further in the process, while my application has not moved at all.
To make it even more confusing, one of my friends applied on 7 July under a different study category. His application went directly to Preliminary Review, he paid the CSP fee, his documents were verified, he received a correction request, submitted the corrections, and then his portal suddenly showed “On Waiting List.” I didn’t even know that this sequence was possible.
So I have a few questions:
Has anyone else been stuck on the CSP waiting list for this long?
Is the waiting list processed differently for Language Course Visa and Studienkolleg/Student Visa applicants?
Has anyone seen a case where an application goes Preliminary Review → Waiting List instead of Waiting List → Preliminary Review?
Is there anything I can do besides waiting?
I would really appreciate hearing about your recent experiences. Thank you!

CSP Timeline

Hello,
I am going for Studienkolleg which is a private one ( Rahn halle),so the minimum requirement for Studienkolleg is b1 and i have only A2 level. So i am doing A2-B1 language course in Rahn leipzig, then after passing B1, i will join Rahn halle. So i applied for my visa on 26th june and joined the waiting list and now today around 19 days are gone and I don’t have any information or email regarding my status. I have applied from Delhi vfs. And i have noticed that students who joined waiting list after me got an appointment from delhi vfs itself. So why this discrimination? Please anyone tell me when will i expect that my status will change.
Note:- My classes have begun from 1st July.
