I decided to play the French kommission, since people talk less about this path than about the NSM so I thought "why do all ignore this path specificly"

Well, I can see it now.

First of this is probebly the only european path that I played, that dosen´t have an ending text. You just defeat russia, lose Paris to the CEC for some reason and that´s it.

Secondly, the decisions tab looks more empty than the souls of Klaus Schwab defenders. Thee only decision that even exists there gives you a little bit of stability and party popularity, witch is good at the beginning, but soon becomes irellevant when you are already at 100% stability. Also there are overall two events that happen on this path, and one is about the FRENCH CIVIL WAR goodamit.

Lastly, you just click focuses. You can do nearly nothing exept invade Spain and Portugal on this path. And it´s not even like the Nationalist France path, where Germany snacks everything before you get to your focus, you litteraly don´t even have the decision to do anything than invade the iberian pinincula.

All of this wouldn´t make me so mad, when the path would just be bad in general like the NSM but no. The writting of these focuses is genuinely amazing and the gfx of them looks really pretty. This path is also narritive wise a great addition to the EU, since it gives more of an inside of how the people even became this obsessed with uniting all of Europe.

This is what makes me write this post in the first place. I see that there is gold in this void of nothingness and I just wish that this path get´s the attention and love it deserves like the EU in the dystopia update.

I don´t expect that there will be an update for the kommission anytime soon, witch is absolutly fine, since there are other countrys (Japan) that need an update much sooner. If we however someday return back to the european paths of this mod, then I would like to see a rework for France. I mean, it´s literaly the only path you can play when you lose to Medvedev witch happens more often than not to new players, and then there stuck with this path.

Just wanted to try out france eu path once, and then he appears out of the shadow realm.

I mean we all new that democratic socialisim is the left wing of fascism anyway, but here is the final argument for this discussion.

If you would be in charge of the european continent and all of it´s conflicts, how would you update/rework it?

I personaly think that after the us civil war and japan, europe needs a little bit love again.

Germany has in her pre 1ew path always around three options: A more nationalist autlook, a european centered one and a environment path.

This can be best seen, with the economic tree. And it works... mostly.

You see, the self sufficent path is good for a communist/facist campain and the eu one obviously for... well the eu. But I don´t see one post 1ew path that would fit well with the environment path. Maybe the communist but they seem more focused with workers rights and ostalgie then anything else.

So how about this: When russia goes the just russia route and wins the 1ew then the eu gets formed like the devs said in an comment. But this time there is a different path. A path that is ultraenvironmential. Humans and nature become one. The thechnologie makes a syntecis with nature itself. Thousands of wind mils are being built in e.g bavaria, people even start losing there homes because of that. Oil is being banned, everything is run with sustainable electronics. Houses, schools, hospitals, everywhere you go you see vines sprawling over nearly every building. Old cars and other vehicles are being destroyed without any refund. On the sideways of every street is always a natual looking road of trees just standing there. I imagine the look of the focuses like how the focuses of the old european union looked like with the modern tfr style of course (hence the picture).

This of course is just daydreaming and I don´t think something like this will even remotely happen but I thought it is an entertaining thought how a dystopian green world could look like.
