Listing for my condo is now "sold", but the closing date is a month from now. I don't know if the buyer is going with mortgage or cash....do I ask the agent or lawyer? If buyer is going with mortgage, do I get the cheque from bank on closing day? Or how does it work? I don't have a mortgage to payout since I bought years ago.
What are some ways to save tax on capital gain from condo real estate sale? I also will be receiving dividends not from real estate. I have RRSP maxed out and there was no mortgage payout. Lived in the condo as primary residence for 10 years and rented 6 years I believe.
I sent a lawyer the APS and to inquire about service fee. The lawyer got back to me about fees, but is very slow with replying my other questions. Its been almost 24 hrs since my last email. Can I switch to another lawyer even though I gave her the APS? Surprisingly she didn't ask for retainer deposit yet and I didn't give her though.

Then yesterday, we signed papers with lawyer, and the lawyer also verified us using Treefort app. Now a day later, our realtor wants us to fill out iluminai app for fintrac purpose. Why is the realtor asking so much again??? He already had our IDs and even lawyer verified us.
