Lord Shen- Kung Fu Panda 2

When Po offers Shen a chance to stop fighting. Po has found inner peace and no longer hates Shen. Shen could have surrendered or reflected on his choices. Instead, he attacks again, choosing control and violence over self-reflection, the tragic things about Shen is that he could have been redeemed, but he refused every opportunity because accepting redemption would have meant confronting the truth about himself.

The Deep- The Boys

During their final fight Starlight offers Kevin to stop fearing Homelander and stand against him, even after everything he did to her she was willing to help him, Starlight's offer represents a genuine chance for him to do something heroic and help stop Homelander. The Deep has spent much of the series seeking redemption or a fresh start, yet when faced with a defining choice, he falls back into the same pattern of fear and self-interest.

(Invincible S3)-Conquest: When he fights Invincible, he immediately realizes Mark still has empathy, hesitation, and guilt. Conquest despises that softness because Viltrumites are supposed to dominate without remorse. So instead of just killing Mark quickly, he psychologically tortures him to force him into becoming more savage.

(GOW Ragnarok)-Thor: Thor knows Kratos’ past as the Ghost of Sparta he is a monster who slaughtered gods out of rage. And Thor almost resents the fact that Kratos is trying to be better, because Thor himself feels trapped as Odin’s weapon and can’t escape his own violent nature.
