Any single child out there?

Hi im 25 F , single child , ive always felt so lonely and alone in the society esp with the fact that my dad left us 2 years ago , im left with my mum. I felt even more lonely as I get older . Im afraid of having to settle any serious matter alone or even living alone eventually… It feels like no one is there for me. Friends of my age all have siblings and it feels nice that whenever they had problems their siblings would be there to support them. I dont have any close relatives as well so im really all by myself.

Single child out there may I know how you guys deal with this?

Trying my luck here : Part-Time Tutors Wanted + Parents Looking for Flexible Tuition

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm currently building Tuition SOS 🆘, a tutor-matching service created for students who may not need tuition for the whole year — sometimes, they just need a few focused lessons at the right time.

With WA/exams coming up, parents may suddenly realise their child needs extra help with a particular subject or topic. Instead of committing to months of tuition, Tuition SOS aims to connect families with tutors who are open to short-term assignments.

For example:

>

We hope to make it easier for parents to find tutors who can cater to short-term, last-minute or long-term needs, depending on what works for them.

👩‍🏫 We're looking for PART-TIME TUTORS!

We're currently building our tutor network and welcome:

  • Primary / Secondary / JC tutors
  • University students & graduates
  • Experienced tutors
  • Tutors looking for flexible or short-term assignments

You can choose assignments based on your availability, preferred subjects, location and rates.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents / Students

If you're looking for:

🚨 Last-minute exam revision
📚 1–4 focused lessons
🎯 Help with a specific topic
💰 Flexible tuition within your budget
🌱 Long-term tuition

Feel free to reach out and let us know what you're looking for!

We're still in the early stages of building Tuition SOS, so we're also open to feedback from parents, students and tutors on what would make this service genuinely useful.

📩 Interested in becoming a tutor? DM me / sign up through our Tutor Form.

📚 Looking for a tutor? DM me / fill in our Parent Enquiry Form.

I'm starting a tuition-matching service for students who might need last min help

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm currently working on a small project called Tuition SOS.

The idea came from noticing that sometimes students don't necessarily need tuition for the entire year. They might just need a few lessons before an exam, help with a specific topic, or some intensive revision or even last minute before their exams they might need some help.

So I'm building a tutor-matching service that caters specifically to these situations.

For example:

>

Instead of committing to months of tuition, we'd help find a tutor who is open to taking on a short-term assignment.

We're also open to students who want longer-term tuition.

What we're currently looking for:

👩‍🏫 Tutors — Primary, Secondary & JC across different subjects

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents/students — If you're looking for short-term or long-term tuition, we'd love to hear what you're looking for.

I'm still in the early stages of building this, so I'm hoping to get feedback from parents, students and tutors as well.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me or check out our forms.

Any advice/ reco on liver cancer?

My mum (60F) was recently diagnosed with liver cancer after I brought her to a checkup. We were very shock with the results as shes totally fine. Right now the result shows that as she had hepatitis B which she left it untreated leading to liver cirrhosis too causing her to get cancer.

Right now shes in intermediate stage , have not spread to other parts , doc is recommending on embolization (TACE) & ablation. Both me & my mum are very worried. Her concern would be shes totally fine right now , what if after the treatment things worsen or the side effect causes liver failure. Which makes thing worst.

Did anyone or their family went through this before could you guys give any advice…. Im so worried

Must you be truthful about your last drawn ?

I have a qn does company or HR really check on your last drawn salary , or they just ask for formality?

My 1st job I earn about mid 3s and my latest job(2nd job) Im earning a low 3s. I agreed on the job previously despite getting a lower pay because the economy was bad but definitely for my next job I would wish to get a higher pay towards high 3 to 4 k.

With that being sad when companies ask for my last drawn do you think I can say I earn mid 3 or I have to be truthful and report it as low 3 & they will probably ask for payslip… but if I were to report as low 3 they might low ball me

Any thots of being a home tutor

I have been doing part time home tutor for awhile now im still trying to actively look for jobs in marketing but its pretty hard. Any tutors out there?

Would it be a wise choice to venture FT into tutoring / home tutoring ?

However im afraid there will be no CPF and it might get mundane after awhile.
