HRV monitor that works (suggestion needed)

Thinking to use HRV (heart rate variability) to detect windows of tolerance. That means wearing it almost 24/7 and hoping that the app can show whenever the body is stressed (anxious) - like an alert.

Is there any gadget that you have tried and has worked well?

value investing vs S&P index

Do you compare your stock portfolio with S&p or other indexes over the years .

I realized that most portfolios performed poorly because the s&p is going 14% annually now. Asking because - the capital gains tax and state income tax have hindered me to sell / balanced portfolios with stocks. And most of the stocks stopped growing after a few years.

I don't have a good way to estimate if I sell and pay tax (30% tax drag) , vs. keeping them .. how much growth potential I lost. I just know that at some point (not sure how to *calculate* this), the growth of just investing in S&P will be much higher - even after we pay the 30% tax

Are there good tips, easy way to estimate the difference? I might also confuse myself --there might be a simpler way to think through this?

Thanks.

projected growth better than VOO

Do you think the GOOG will perform better than VOO for the next 5 or 10 years.

Why and why not? What's your reason for the analysis.

Gen 5 19" tires / keep or change all

Had 4 tire flats in 2 years. Nails, staples, screws. Is it just pure bad luck or are these low profile tires just easier to get nails??

Options I can think of :

  1. Buy tire road hazard warranty. About $170 for 4 tires.

  2. Replace all wheels and tires to 16 or 17" . Coat $1800.

Any other better options - cheaper and less hassle to deal with, when a tire flat happens?
