It’s 5:37 am as I type this out. Just got awoken by my phone’s hurricane alert. Luckily I live on Oahu, so I don’t get the worst of the storm.

Safety wise, I am fine. The only effects here seem to be a loss of power. Hoping that everyone on the Big Island is doing well.

The timer changing for no reason is super frustrating, and I finally lost a shiny to it. There was plenty of time left, then the time cuts down super short, then the raid abruptly ends. So annoying.

I assume that there’s something that makes the timer shorten, but I don’t play this game too often so I don’t really know how these raids work aside from attacking over and over again.

At some point in the last week, I lost around 1000 vbucks from my account. I haven’t made a purchase in a long time, and I’m only signed in on two devices (phone and computer). I’ve never had any suspicious activity on my account. Or gave my login info to another person or any site that isn’t Epic Games.

Interestingly, a month or so ago, I also lost 17-1800 CoD points. The two incidents being linked could be a factor.

My purchase history doesn’t show any new purchases. Although, the page is bugged, showing purchases I made in 2021 despite me not even having an Epic account until late 2022.

I don’t think the issue is a hacker in my account, because I feel like they would have compromised it if they had access, not randomly spend over 1000 (on nothing). So the only other conclusion is a possible bug.

If there’s any other info I can give to help narrow down the cause, let me know. I’ll contact support in the meantime.

Woke up to this, and I’m a little confused. Here’s what I think might have happened.

The day before, I was playing a red vs blue map with my friend, and we were on opposite teams. Randomly, a player on my team calls him gay and a femboy out of nowhere. I defend him, and I get called his “dominant”. A little bit more goes on, but it’s basically this random person crying that they keep dying to my friend.

Me and my friend communicate via party chat, since he doesn’t have a phone. I don’t usually swear much on open mic, but it happens and I’m never chat banned from it. What might have happened is that I called this player homophobic, and it got censored. That, or the player mass reported me.

Is there a way to get this undone? I’d like to be able to talk to my friends

Edit: Sent an appeal for the ban, hoping something comes out of it.

Also important to note that I never even received a warning, just straight into a comm ban

Edit 2: Nothing came out of it. Appeal went straight into the trash can, and I highly doubt a real human being looked at it.
