hey all, hope u r all having a nice day today.
i found my edge recently but here is some background story and i need some advice if possible, would be really helpful:
so i have been learning how to trade for like 5-6 years now. i’ve been through the ringer with mentors. im currently with my last mentor right now and his strategy is good. however it’s not been performing well this year so far. the other years like 4 years back, it performed exceptionally well. i journal my trades and take screenshots of setups, and i would take those same trades again everytime because they meet my criteria for a trade entry - i learned it this way from my mentor
however, over the years of learning how to trade, i kind of have an inkling or a feeling that i might have my own edge made just based off experience, like i can play some of these waves, price action waves pretty well when im forward testing, but i refuse to follow it on my live accounts cuz i guess i just haven’t backtested it. it would be pretty hard to backtest, pretty long too, compared to the strategy im using now, which is way easier to backtest. in my forward tests, i almost always win, of course there will be losers, but it seems like to be a good system i have made for myself over the years based off experience, and no one really explains this strategy in public like on youtube or the internet really in depth.
so at the end of all this, since the strategy is performing as expected like in the past 4 years, i really want to switch to my own strategy where i’ve managed to find my own edge in, rather than play using my mentor’s strategy.
i used to strategy hop a lot in the past, and i’ve kind of overcome that now, but it feels like it’s creeping in again cuz this strategy basically aligns with everything of myself. like it just fits me, and i don’t think anyone else can really trade it like i do, unless i taught them of course, but it just feels like it really aligns with myself, and how i view the market.
anyways, with all that being said. i really need some clarity cuz i’ve been thinking about this for a while.
what should i do? should i continue trading my mentor’s strategy, or should i switch to the one that makes the most sense and aligns with me and the one i basically created myself through experience…. or nah?
to be clear, i’ve never stuck with one strategy on live accounts for at least a year. i’ve never been able to do that until this year. i’m like 7 months into the year now, so this is like the longest i’ve ever been able to stick to one strategy, but it’s like such bad timing with how the market is moving on snp500 this year (cuz u only trade the snp500), like i chose the worst possible year to stick to one strategy on. it’s literally performing like shit this year. i’m basically breakeven on that strat. whereas in the past 4 years, i would have been up like at least 5% to 10% within the first 2 or 3 months of the year.
with my other strat that makes sense to me and that i made through experience, i would be performing very well right now
so i ask the question again. what should i do? what strategy should i stick with? im like so confused rn it’s crazy
i appreciate any advice given. please help 🙏

why would any big institution want to buy this stock if they are diluting their share holders with the ATM dilution of shares. That just doesn’t make sense to me.
Please enlighten me. Choosing to own OKLO stock, would mean choosing to own a smaller percentage of the company over time. How does that make any sense for any investor, and how the fuck did OKLO stock pump so high in 2024 with their ATM dilution back then. What’s going on in the minds of these investors to think that it’s ok for them to buy a stock in a company where overtime, their shares get diluted just to keep the company alive
the company isn’t even doing buybacks as well.
i just don’t see how any serious investor would consider OKLO stock. Please enlighten me, cuz the price action looks really good on a higher timeframe, but every time it pumps meaningfully, i see heavy selling pressure on the charts.
if wendys made their nuggets super crispy they would have the best chicken nuggets on the planet. i don’t even know how Wendy’s doesn’t even see that !
