I first recall these images surfacing in 2025. I’ve heard these referred to as the “4chan UAP/UFO Crash Retrieval Photos,” or the “4chan UFO Crash Photos,” and the “New Jersey Crash Retrieval Photos.”

Despite these names, no direct link between these images and the incidents that were reported in New Jersey during the Fall of 2025 has ever been established.

In this article, I will present you with the original thread, the three original full-resolution images downloaded directly from the source, and three enhanced-visibility versions of those same images.

Let me save you all time, these are not made of carbon fiber, per a carbon composite technician, and a manufacturing engineer (see article).

If anyone knows if this has thoroughly been debunked, please let me know... though I don’t believe it ever has been.

The Original Thread

At 5:23PM EST on Tuesday March 11th, 2025, an Anonymous user shared the first of three images to the /x/ board on 4chan under a post titled “....”, with no caption.

7 minutes later, at 5:30PM EST, he replied to his own thread with another photo, no caption provided.

14 minutes later, at 5:44PM EST, the user once again replied to his own thread with the third and final photo, no caption provided.

I first saw these photos on this post made by u/memystic on the r/AlienBodies subreddit.

Tineye indexed these photos to Dec. 7 2023… whereas I indexed these photos to Jul. 31 2023.

Odd enough, these appeared at about the same time as the “Grandpa’s Nightstand” Alien Photos, which originated on June 16th, 2023.

I have done my best to find the original threads in which they were shared. If anyone can locate a source predating what I am presenting, please let me know, and I will make the neccessary edits to my article.

To the best of my knwledge, these images were shared for the very first time at 4:45PM EST, and 4:55PM EST, on Monday July 31st, 2023.

I have included all the images, downloaded directly from the source threads below, as well as screenshots of the earliest known appearances of the photos on 4chan.

The only original images from the post are 1 and 2, whereas image 3 appears to have been an AI-generated hoax.

Were we being flooded with disinformation in July 2023? Or were one of these leaks real?

The original thread:

A thread was created at 2:51 AM EST, on Monday, July 31st, 2023. With the caption:

>can we get some actual alien photographs that you have thread started? ill dump what i got.

Later that day, At 4:45pm EST an Anonymous user replied with an image

>sure, but are you ready for the truth?

Ten minutes later, at 4:55pm EST, an Anonymous user (who appears to be the same as the previous user), sent another image.

EDIT: It appears OP or someone else on that thread explains"

>"apparently it is covering some sort of device which is often found completely undamaged. It is typically worn around the leg/thigh."

Most of us remember this image (meme?) circulating in late 2023-early 2024, that was captioned with,

>“I found this photo in my grandfather’s nightstand, while cleaning out his house. He was a lifelong military man, stationed at Wright-Patt Air-force Base.”

Tineye indexed this image to August 21st, 2023... whereas I indexed this image to June 16, 2023.

In this article, I will be presenting you with, what is most likely (99.9%), the origins of the 2023 alien photos that have been widely circulated as the "Grandpa's Nightstand" Alien Photos.

...and did I mention there were 2 photos? See my article for the full resolution images.

If anyone can find a source that pre-dates what I am presenting, please let me know, and I will update this article. There is little doubt in my mind that these photos originated on June 16th, 2023, based on all the reverse image searches I have done.

The original 4chan Thread:

On Friday, June 16th, 2023, at 7:39 PM EST, an Anonymous user created a post on the /x/ board, titled “working on some ancestry stuff and found these”.

In the description box of his post, Anonymous wrote:

>“they’re stuck with other portrait photos from 1887. what the f*** is this creature?”

1 minute later, the Anonymous user, replied to his own post, with a second photo, stating:

>“second one, probably same shoot”

Hi all, have I got something super special for the r/Aliens community today.

Most of us have heard of the 2017 4chan Alien in the Desert Photo, even the 2018 4chan Alien in the Garage Photo, but did you know there was a 2025 4chan Alien Photo leak, that went mostly under the radar?

This thread was not publicly available until now.

On Monday, May 5th, 2025, at 10:18 PM EST, an Anonymous 4chan user shared an image under a post, titled “DELETED SOON,” with the caption:

>“They call them Stranded fish
They come from the deep ocean.
They stay in the dark
They die in the light”

Sneakpeak into the Q&A with the source of the thread/pic:

>"It was really strange, everyone [on reddit] immediately started clowning on me."
"When r/Aliens took it down…. it had some traction…. and lots of memes."

Hi everyone, thank you for all the support on my last blog post. I currently have a few projects underway as I continue trying to create more interesting investigative content for the r/aliens subreddit and my substack community.

My goal is for this article to function as an informal case study. By comparing different experiencers’ descriptions, sketches, and drawings, we may be able to look for recurring details, patterns, or themes related to the most mysterious and controversial types of alien encounters.

A big thank you to the Redditors who took time out of their week to create/submit something for this blog post.

Whether you believe these accounts or not, I ask that readers approach the material with basic respect.

Every submission featured in my article includes an original firsthand sketch/drawing that has not been published anywhere else.

Hi all, Im here to get downvoted to oblivion bc i know you all hate the 4chan alien, but I made a blogpost about it, because I couldnt find anywhere that documented it comprehensively, with all the firsthand accounts from the OG 4chan threads. Read descriptions from witnesses back in 2017, and you be the judge if the new alien post is the real 4chan alien. Also includes a new interview with a witness <3
