I've got one of these that has taken to throwing thermal shutdowns every 24-48 hours, but a simple reboot sets it right.

The oven fan actually quit a few months ago and was replaced with no issues until this started happening a couple weeks ago.

Where else should I look?
So there's an idea for an "aquarium" of sorts that I've been kicking around but I'm not sure how to pull it off.
Basically I want to use a shallow tank in the 5-10 gallon range and create a trickling creek with a few marginal plants along the edges of the water.
No fish, no filter, just a pump circulating water down a cascade of stones and pebbles from end to end.
I feel like this is possible but am having a hard time sourcing ideas online since "creek tank" searches only turn up fast river bed aquascapes for fish.
I know I will need a small lift pump, a way to create an impermeable channel so that water flows over the "creek" to the bottom end of the tank, and a way to create a small reservoir for the pump to sit in.
But like, how?
