I'm using AdGuard Home with my paid AdGuard DNS Personal as the upstream DNS server. Should I still enable local blocklists like AdGuard DNS Filter and AdAway, or is that just duplicate filtering? What's the recommended best practice?

Recentemente tentei fazer uma captura de tela de um grupo privado no Telegram e a imagem ficou completamente preta. Também tentei gravar a tela e aconteceu a mesma coisa.

Pelo que pesquisei, isso parece ser um recurso de proteção de conteúdo, usado para dificultar que mensagens e mídias sejam copiadas ou compartilhadas fora do grupo.

I subscribe to AdGuard Pro and AdGuard DNS. On my iPhone, my main device, I currently only use AdGuard DNS through the profile installed on iOS, without using the AdGuard app for network filtering. My current configuration is: AdGuard DNS via profile installed on the iPhone, iCloud Private Relay enabled, and 1Blocker for blocking ads and elements in Safari. AdGuard Pro is installed, but practically unused. I would like to know if I am making the most of the tools I already pay for.

From what I understand, AdGuard DNS blocks ads, trackers, and malicious domains at the DNS level, while 1Blocker blocks content within Safari. Private Relay improves browsing privacy. However, I’m wondering if it would be more advantageous to use AdGuard Pro as the main application instead of just the DNS profile.

Some questions:

1. Is there any real advantage of AdGuard Pro compared to exclusively using AdGuard DNS on the iPhone?

2. Can app-based blocking block more ads/trackers than DNS alone?

3. Does the fact that AdGuard Pro uses a local VPN to filter traffic noticeably increase battery consumption?

4. For those using iCloud Private Relay, is it worth sticking with just DNS + 1Blocker, or does AdGuard Pro still offer significant benefits?

5. What would be the ideal configuration to maximize privacy, ad blocking, and battery life?

Is there any difference between downloading the profile or installing the app to configure control d on iOS?
