Chase/Etihad Lounge at Dulles

Chase/Etihad Lounge at Dulles

Posting a datapoint after the change in lounge access for priority pass. Went to the Etihad/Chase co-branded lounge at Dulles around 645 pm on a Wednesday. No waitlist when we arrived, and the lounge was half full when we arrived. It filled in a bit by the time we left around 8.

Saga Class Upgrade - datapoint

For others thinking about doing the Saga Class Up bid, sharing that I bid $5 above my minimum bid (so bid $253) for travel IAD—>KEF and received the upgrade as a solo traveler. I received notification of the upgrade around 40 hours before my flight, which was earlier than expected.

Differing Saga upgrade minimums

My husband and I are flying the same Iceland Air route on the same date but have different minimum bids for a Saga upgrade ($283 vs $330 for one way and $250 vs $330 for the other). We booked our tickets separately. Any idea why we’d have different minimum bids?

Best use of the StubHub credit?

How are people using the StubHub credit?

The easiest use I’ve found so far is same day MLB tickets. Those tickets are easy to find for lower than list price, and you can search by instant download to avoid scams.

I live and work near an MLB stadium so I was often buying same day tickets on the secondary market anyway. Nice that both of the $150 credits are available during baseball season!

Triple dip on travel credits plus price match

Enjoyed seeing this visual on my account: annual travel credit, Edit credit, and Select Hotel credit, plus a price match on a single transaction!

The price match was using Super.com. Chase noted the price match was given as an exception (cancellation date on the other website was 2 days off from the Chase refund date).

Thanks to this forum for letting me know that the travel credit overlaps with the Edit/Select Hotel credits!

Hotel loyalty program with The Edit - Kimpton Hotel Fontenot (New Orleans)

Sharing a datapoint that today I booked the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot (New Orleans), which is part of the Edit collection and can be double-dipped with the IHG credit. My reservation showed up in the IHG app immediately after I booked. I’m posting because I understand others have had varying experiences getting hotel loyalty accounts to show up when booking through Chase.

Also, this hotel had not been showing up as available for me for a while but just appeared again today, so it is possible that they added more Chase inventory if anyone has been looking at this hotel.

Most reliable lounge for Chase cardholder to access at Dulles on a weeknight?

I have an upcoming flight out of Dulles on a Thursday at 630pm in August. Any thoughts on which lounge would be most likely to have space at that day and time? Is it Etihad since that lounge is specifically affiliated with Chase, rather than just priority pass generally?

I usually use the Capital One lounge because I also have that card, and the lounge is convenient and easy to get into, but it’s closed for renovations. Thanks!

Stubhub Credit + Paze

Sharing a datapoint that the Stubhub credit stacked with Paze, and I still received 11x points on the Stubhub purchase amount.

The Edit 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati

Reposting to remove personal info.

We booked a three-night stay at the 21c Museum Hotel using The Edit and think it provides a good value way to use the Edit credit and also some other Chase credits. Cost for 3 nights over a holiday weekend was $843. After using 20,800 points, it brought total to $500 (so $250 after the Edit credit). The hotel has nice common spaces with art installations throughout.

Checked in a little after noon and received early check-in and room upgrade to King Studio room. Credit can be used at the spa, bar/restaurant or for valet parking. Breakfast credit is limited to Queen City Breakfast (see photo) but hotel let me swap potatoes for fruit without charge.

Mita’s is a 7 minute walk away and eligible for the dining credit, and the Cincinnati Reds stadium is about a 10 minute walk. Used the Stubhub credit, and total cost for 2 excellent seats on a weekend was $75 before Stubhub and Paze credits.
