I played this on mobile years ago and stopped because the working joes triggered some sort of intense phobia in me. I saw news about the new game so I decided to jump back in again but on switch, now that i'm not super scared of the joes anymore for some reason.

I don't remember the game looking this beautiful, probably because it was on mobile but more importantly, the sounds. God damn. Every sound effect and music is meticulously crafted and perfectly timed to individual situations. The use of red herrings, and informative sounds is masterclass. The way it occasionally makes incomprehensible speech-like noises naturally triggers unease, and how the music repeatedly builds up and climaxes for no reason builds tension. I'm no expert, but I like sound in games and this is probably the most impressed I've ever been.

It is summer where I live, and has been since April. It was awesome at first because I got to feel like I could do anything I would feel guilty doing near exams, but then it got hella boring. I either just play video games or watch movies, or study something I'm interested in. There's not much reason to go out, but I still go out for aimless walks occasionally. All of my friends returned to their homes so I can't meet them. I only play games with them sometimes. My close high school friends are a bit difficult to meet so I only see them every once in a while. It's not that I hate what I'm doing, but the repitition and lack of excitement is killing me. I don't even know how I survived past summer breaks. I guess playing video games all day was more fun when I was younger. I considered getting a part time job but my parents thought I better spend my time studying, which I agree, which is also why I don't have much reason to go out even if I want to.
