All: LA County is currently having a budget hearing for their 2026-2027 fiscal year. About $48 billion to play with. If you want safer streets, this is another funding source that enables this. They will want to see lots of public comments asking for Vision Zero project funding. Here’s how to add a comment to ask for this.

Step 1 - Click the following link and fill out the minimum info you feel comfortable sharing: https://publiccomment.bos.lacounty.gov

Step 2 - Select BUDG in the agenda tab

Step 3 - Write a comment (I’d select Other). Include your supervisor district if you’d like in it so they know which part of the county especially wants Vision Zero funding. One possible comment outline:

Please give as much funding as possible to Vision Zero projects. I’m tired of hundreds of people dying from preventable traffic deaths every year, especially where I live in SD2. I want to live in a county where I can walk and bike safely.
