Some new indie authors 2026 releases!!!
If you have been on bookstagram for a while. Like more than a couple weeks, what content do you find gets you more engagment?
(I did make this graphic but this is not my book.)
I'm so excited to start this. I can't wait for the ARC book to drop in book funnel. This author described it as the Corpse Bride meets haunting Adeline. And I love the Corpse Bride and I love haunting Adeline so I had to jump on that.
It looks so good it's one of my most anticipated reads so far this year.
Spoilers...
This man really sat across from the podcaster and said "and she was murdered. Bummer."
Like omfggggggg are you serious!!!
Im hoping to finish this book today. Im listening on 1.5x. I am enjoying the back and forth between 'reality' then back to the podcast.
I believe she did it and just doesn't remember.
An ARC read from may of this year!! It was a beautiful story about two people who after years find their way back to each other. A story of love but not just romantic love, a story where slow burn also including finding your people, your true family.
This story is this authors debut book. She has 2 more coming out this year included in this series. This book was a fun and enjoyable read.
Soooooo I want to make better content on both booktok and booksta. I know I'll have to make different content for both. But I don't have an idea of how to make a schedule. Does the schedule have to be the same every week or can topics be done on different days.
Example
Instead of: Mondays book review Tuesday bestie video etc
Can the schedule be done on different days?
I'm lost and I am trying to take it more serious but I'm still under 200 views on booktok and have no idea how to be aesthetic on booksta.
Any help with be amazing
Yes i have bought a lot of books this month. Even though I was supposed to be on a book buying ban. My uncles 1 year passing anniversary was in May and I went crazy buying books.
I've heard of book reading slump but has anyone ever experienced a book buying slump?
Where you just aren't in the mood to buy books unless you see one you want.
I'm not the best at making content. Sometimes I think people are booktok only follow me because of the book in my name.

But I'm tired of embarrassing myself or at least feeling embarrassed on both of these apps I want to make better content and I just I don't know where to start. Some of the stuff that gets discussed are things that I'm not able to do at the moment.

I just need help because I don't want to feel discouraged or embarrassed anymore anytime I log on to do that
I bought this book last year, and the audio is on libby, so I requested to borrow it.

I don't even remember why I bought it but now I'm wishing I didn't. Am I likely the book? ... yeah, but I wouldn't read it again, and if I didn't like a book or if I wouldn't read it more than once, then I don't keep it.

The plot doesn't catch my attention. Yes, we know her brother was involved in crazy stuff, but I just don't care enough to know what or why.

It feels copy and paste with other mafia based books.

I believe the author just wanted to write a dark romance book.

I would give this 2.8 /3⭐️

I was told to put my number in to get a code to verify my account. The code never came. I hit the button a few times and now locked out for 24 hrs and suspended.
I was given until December to appeal but I can't find a way to appeal it.
I'm an android user
I created my account back when I first made my booktok account. I'm not the most aesthetic person, so I never thought I'd do good on book bookstagram.
I want to talk 6 my writing journey eve if it's only to keep me in check. I am hoping one day to be published, but I'm not trying to be famous. I want to meet new people, support indie authors, and encourage people to keep writing while encouraging myself...
I have no idea what I'm doing. I hate winging it. What are the best tips to be successful on bookstagram?
Thank you.
Hello!
I have been posting book content on booktok since Jan 8th, 2026. I have around 2,100 followers. I created my account to build a community and talk about books. Also, I am also a writer. I wanted to post about my writing journey while also meeting new people.
I had taken a small break from content creation for about a month, only posting a couple of times a week. But now I want to get back at it. I post once a day. I do not have a schedule. I get roughly between 150 to 300 views.
At this point, I want comments. I want to eage with people. Support other people. I'm a huge supporter of indie authors
I have had some content that did well, and when I redid it, it wasn't as successful.
All I see is videos about how to grow a following. But I want to hear advice from real people. I need better text hooks... just hooks in general.
(I've never really put myself out here like this so even though I've been on booktok for 5 months, I still have no idea what I'm doing )
Hi!
I'll delete this if it's not allowed. I was just wondering what the difference was between posting on booksta VS. booktok?
What difference go into videos for each book app?
I started this book because of a fable book club. It was supposed to be a cute little fun read. Now, it's controlling my emotions.
Spoilers...
I was soooooo excited when they finally said I love you, but NOW I'm worried that they might not end up together. And my heart can't take that type of betrayal.
Edit:
Hahaha, I overreacted. I got the ending, I wanted. Without tears!!!!!
