That's a new one for me

160K mile 2015 Acura MDX front downstream O2 sensor is rubbing against the oil pan. Not sure if it's a possible aftermarket oil pan issue. Exhaust system appears to be factory. Doesn't care about the nasty transmission shudder in almost any gear either.

Dear engineers

Sincerely go fuck yourselves with the bullshit you design. For those that haven't had the pleasure of doing a FCA multiair belt tensioner, you have to remove a ton of shit just to get to the top bolt because it threads in from the back side of the timing cover. I've done it once before with a long extension under the exhaust manifold but getting the bolt threaded back in is a bitch.

Flashbacks to when I had to cut off a brake drum months ago

Towed in for a "no start" got it running with a little brake clean and it hasn't cut out since. No brake fluid in the master cylinder, brake pedal goes right to the floor. No visible leaks until I tried to back off the RR primary shoe as it was digging into the drum. Star wheel seized up, proceed to chip away at the drum to finally get it off. If you haven't picked one up yet I'd recommend the Astro Thor 498K air hammer as that made this job much easier. Came with a free snack of 2 churro bites 😂

Tighten control arm bolts

Fleet silverado came in after a different shop had replaced both lower control arms but they didn't tighten down the bolts causing them to eat through the frame. Driver kept driving it till it was pigeon toed and towed to the shop.

Almost didn't roll into the shop

A tale of 3 photos, was hearing a terrible snapping noise when hitting bumps and turning the steering wheel. Found the drivers lower control arm bolt had either backed out or was never tightened causing the noise. RR tone wheel cracked setting the ABS and TCS lights. Saved the best for last with the slipped belt in the LR tire. Original complaint was brake noise and "lights on dash".

Few pics from a trip to TOD

Had a week down in Franklin NC late April with a few riding friends. Hit the Tail on Tuesday and rode through Cherohala Skyway from Tennessee back into N.C. Got pulled over for the first time ever heading to the tail but got lucky with a warning. Swipe to the end for a surprise.

Cut off brake drum

2021 Tacoma with a failed rear wheel cylinder. Brake shoes essentially seized in the drum and fought me during removal. First time I've ever needed to cut off a brake drum.

People suck

Noticed someone hit my car, no idea of any cameras around where I'm staying at. More mad that people don't want to leave a note or anything. License plate kit saved it from more damage.

2020 Escape exhaust fumes in cabin

Only the 2nd vehicle I've seen this on. Complaint is smelling exhaust fumes inside the vehicle. Couldn't see a leak when smoke testing the exhaust. Have to remove the converter to inspect it.

Don't put E85 in cars not designed to run it

Got a 2014 Hyundai Elantra setting a P2191 fuel system too lean under load. Smoke tested the intake and exhaust systems with no issues. Capped off the hose from the PCV to the intake manifold with no change. Fuel pressure in spec at 53 psi at idle and under load. Noticed the fuel smell was pretty weak and appeared very clear like E85. Used a water bottle for the volatility test and it is in fact E85 lol.
