--(Planning on opening commissions, any advice?)--

STYRACOSAURUS ALBERTENSIS

- meaning "spiked lizard" from the Ancient Greek styrax/στύραξ "spike at the butt-end of a spear-shaft" and sauros/σαῦρος "lizard") is an extinct genus of herbivorous dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous (Campanian stage) of North America. It had four to six long parietal spikes extending from its neck frill, a smaller jugal horn on each of its cheeks, and a single horn protruding from its nose, which may have been up to 60 centimeters (2 feet) long and 15 centimeters (6 inches) wide. The function or functions of the horns and frills have been debated for many years.

- Styracosaurus was a relatively large dinosaur, reaching lengths of 5–5.5 metres (16–18 ft) and weighing about 1.8–2.7 metric tons (2.0–3.0 short tons). It stood about 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) tall. Styracosaurus possessed four short legs and a bulky body. Its tail was rather short. The skull had a beak and shearing cheek teeth arranged in continuous dental batteries, suggesting that the animal sliced up plants. Like other ceratopsians, this dinosaur may have been a herd animal, travelling in large groups, as suggested by bone beds.

- Named by Lawrence Lambe in 1913, Styracosaurus is a member of the Centrosaurinae. One species, S. albertensis, is currently assigned to Styracosaurus. Another species, S. ovatus, named in 1930 by Charles Gilmore was reassigned to a new genus, Rubeosaurus, by Andrew McDonald and Jack Horner in 2010, but it has been considered either its own genus or a species of Styracosaurus (or even a specimen of S. albertensis) again, since 2020.

NIPPONOSAURUS SACHALINENSIS redesign (OC)

DeviantArt Link: https://www.deviantart.com/dokrebs/art/NIPPONOSAURUS-SACHALINENSIS-redesign-1377438627

Nipponosaurus Sachalinensis

Nagao, 1936

Nipponosaurus (meaning "Japanese lizard") is a lambeosaurine hadrosaur from sediments of the Yezo Group, in Sinegorsk on the island of Sakhalin, which was part of Japan at the time of the species' classification.

The type and only species is N. sachalinensis, known only from a single juvenile specimen discovered in 1934 and named in 1936, by Takumi Nagao, with further material of the same individual found in 1937. Since then, the taxon has been largely ignored, and its validity has been doubted, with synonymy with other Asian hadrosaurs or status as a nomen dubium being suggested. Redescriptions from 2004 and 2017, however, have supported recognition as a distinct species.

--Dating the only specimen has been difficult, but based on associated mollusc taxa, the species likely lived sometime in the upper Santonian or lower Campanian, around 80 million years ago.

RUGOPS PRIMUS (OC)

DeviantArt Link : RUGOPS PRIMUS

• Rugops (meaning 'wrinkle face') is a monospecific genus of basal abelisaurid theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period (Cenomanian stage, approximately 95 million years ago) in what is now the Echkar Formation in Niger. The type and only species, Rugops primus, is known only from a partial skull. It was named and described in 2004 by Paul Sereno, Jeffery Wilson and Jack Conrad. Rugops has an estimated length of 4.4–5.3 metres (14–17 ft) and weight of 410 kilograms (900 lb). The top of its skull bears several pits which correlates with overlaying scale and the front of the snout would have had an armour-like dermis.

I have a redrawn version of one of my older drawings, Nipponosaurus and a Nigersaurus. This two are still on the works

ALLOSAURUS ANAX (OC)

• Allosaurus anax is a giant species of carnivorous theropod dinosaur from the Late Jurassic period (approx. 153–145 million years ago) found in Oklahoma, USA. Designated in 2024, it replaces the former, problematic genus Saurophaganax maximus, as re-examinations showed those giant fossils were a chimera mix of Allosaurus and sauropod bones... -Wikipedia

  • Just finished this yesterday and would also post Rugops as well, after I finish shading it......

DUNKLEOSTEUS TERRELLI (OC)

Other link: https://www.deviantart.com/dokrebs/art/DUNKLEOSTEUS-TERRELLI-by-DOK-REBS-1366336457

(After a month of recovering due to my gallbladder being removed and regaining my ability to draw, I'm now back at posting)

Dunkleosteus is an extinct genus of large arthrodire ("jointed-neck") fish that existed during the Late Devonian period, about 382–358 million years ago. It was a pelagic fish inhabiting open waters, and one of the first vertebrate apex predators of any ecosystem. Fossils of Dunkleosteus have been found in the United States, Canada, Poland, Belgium, and Morocco.......

Dunkleosteus Terrelli was once thought to grow up to 9 to 10 meters (30 to 33 feet) long, but recent 2023 studies revise its maximum length to a shorter, stockier 3.4 to 4.1 meters (11 to 13.5 feet)

Gojirasaurus is a genus of theropod dinosaur named after the giant monster movie character Godzilla. It lived in the Late Triassic Period, containing a single known species, Gojirasaurus quayi.
