Worcester Greenstar 8000 - no hot water this morning.

I had a rough surprise this morning getting into the shower - no hot water.

I checked the pressure on the boiler screen and it was at 1.0 bar but the low pressure warning wasn’t on. I pulled the blue handle on the underside and I can hear water flowing inside the system but the pressure didn’t increase. I held it for a while but there was no change. I tried a few times but didn’t want to sit there endlessly filling it in case the pressure sensor wasn’t reading correctly and I ended up significantly over-pressurising it.

I changed the temperature on the thermostat to have the heating kick in, which it did fine. The pressure then started to increase on the display and when I checked the kitchen tap I had hot water again.

Any one know what might be up or is it time to call a professional?

Can humidity be too high?

We’ve had our snake for about 6 weeks now and just done the first full tank clean with new substrate. This time we used the bricks of dried out material that need to be soaked in water instead of the ready to use stuff. We added some sphagnum moss too as there wasn’t any before.

Humidity is a lot higher than before. I’m sure it will drop over time but is there a point where humidity is too high in the short term? It’s currently 94% on the cool side and 73% on the warm side. The heater has been on for about an hour now after being off overnight and humidity has dropped on the warm side. It was about 80%.
