An example that comes to mind is Elite Dangerous. Whenever a capital ship is nearby, the player hears “Warning, capital class signature detected” before even seeing the ship itself and boy would it be cool if we had such thing in SC. Of course I’m talking here about the warning itself, but I feel like capital ships in general should be more theatrical if you catch my drift.

A capital ship shouldn’t just feel like a flying Burj Khalifa but it should feel like an event. The moment its signature is detected, nearby players should hear some kind of warning/alert or deep engine rumble that instantly tells them something massive is nearby, especially in atmo.

Even before visual contact, I personally think that we should feel the presence of the ship. Right now capital ships only stand out because of their size, but unique audio cues could make their arrival completely change the atmosphere in general. Just a thought.
