Just want to say thank you! Customer Service.

I really just wanted to give a shout out to Caudabe’s customer service team (Jane specifically) for immediately resolving an issue I had with a brand new Synthesis case for my 17 Pro Max. When the MagSafe ring was pressed in, it squeezed out some excess glue and created quite an unfortunate appearance around the MagSafe ring. I sent photos in, and within a day had a reply that Jane would ship out a new case ASAP.

In today’s day and age where everyone is so quick to complain, I really try and call out the experiences that go exactly as I hoped they would - and this one definitely did. No hassle, no fuss, just a couple photos and an explanation… replacement came and it’s perfect. Love the case, and love the experience.

Thank you!!

W200 and Apple Home… not accurately reporting HVAC active/inactive status

Wanting to bring more attention to this discussion that u/Purple_Top1506 started.

I too recently installed a w200 thermostat which overall I really enjoy. However Apple Home is not accurately reporting the HVAC state. For example… if I set a target of 77°F for cooling Apple will call for cooling at its preset (which as far as I can tell is once it reaches 77.5°F), and the status within Apple Home will show “Cooling to 77°F”. However, the AC will not turn on until the thermostat reaches its preset which is a full degree higher. The same is true about turning off the AC as well. Apple will call for the AC to turn off and report that it’s off, but the thermostat won’t actually click it off until it reaches a full degree (or 1.5° in reality it seems) below target temp.

I’m on firmware 4.5.48 (haven’t gotten .49 yet). iOS 26.5.2. AppleTV’s up to date.

RATGDO appreciation post

Unfortunate that Liftmaster/Chamberlin don’t provide HomeKit support, but very thankful for the dev behind RATGDO. Easy to set up and works fantastic for my needs. Just wanted to give some kudos. I can’t recommend it enough!

That is all. 🍻

Loving it!

I’ve slept on Canik for so long, I feel silly. After years of training myself to conform to the Glock ergos and platform, it’s a breath of fresh air to have something so naturally conform to me instead. It essentially points itself on target when I raise it, that’s how natural it is. Very pleased & just wanted to share my story with this fine group. 🍻
