I present to you all, the most cursed rivets possible

I’ve been making a full riveted mail hauburgen and my batch of brass rings came with rivets that were too small (you can sorta see them taper in image 3), or maybe rings with too big holes. Regardless I have fixed the issue by cutting out 4-5mm long shanks of 16 gauge brass wire and popping them into the riveter, where they promptly bend over instead of mushrooming. Regardless it works

Does anyone have close up images of the fingers on gauntlets?

Specifically late 14th early 15th century gauntlets with the scaled construction. I’ve been collecting the materials to make the fingers and don’t quite know the size of the scales which I plan on cutting soon

Hey guys can I get some advice on how to make these? I want to be ready for the local buhurt tournament next week

First picture is the gauntlets I want to copy, the second is my anvil, and the third my sheet metal I pulled out of a dumpster.

Also do you think my sling is regulation length or is two foot cord the max?

Made a sling (don’t judge my pouch materials, my leather is five hours away).

45 and 90 degree angle help

I’m trying to stich two pieces of mail together at the angle seen in the image above. Does anyone know
What that is called and or have a guide of how to do it? I’m trying to do the armpits of my shirt and I’m at this point now
