Jokes aside, why is the visored barbute so ubiquitous in larp and cosplay when the above helmet is functionally the same as it but is far cooler and better designed, and is an actual historical helmet?

Good afternoon frens. Drawing an elf knight inspired by Thranduil and I'm having trouble choosing between a helmet for him to be holding. Currently I have my eye on great-bascinets, bird's-beak sallets, and barbutes. Which do y'all suppose works best? If you have a different recommendation, please let me know!

hi i wanna do hostorical reenact-ment for 1300s and i need a visered barbute to go with my suit of armor. this helmet is awesom and it fits my price range ($30-50 usd for helm) th seller says its made frome valyrian steel also which is beter than mild steel

so i just wanna know if u hav seen other buhurters wear a helm like this becuse buhurt has strict hostorical armer gidelines
