Optimal Bed Placement?

Hello! I’m moving into a new apartment and wanted to incorporate some Feng Shui practices while placing my bed. Been lurking here for a while and would love to see what y’all recommend.

Option #1: bed positioned near center of room, but with the corner of the bed looking straight into the door.

Option #2: bed positioned off center (left aligned) with no direct view of door

Option 3: bed against wall, no direct view of door opening, but possibly a corner of a window behind door.

How I (30M) can ask out a friend (28F) of a mutual friend

I met a woman at a mutual friend’s party this past weekend. We seemed to hit it off during our brief conversations throughout the night.

I heard today that this woman mentioned me to her friends afterwards. I’d like your help with the best way to ask for her number?

  1. I could ask my friend to ask the woman I’m interested in if it’s okay to share her number with me?
  2. I could message her directly on Facebook

Any help would be appreciated. I want to express my interest but also be respectful. Thanks!

Rodent chewed my tube!

Damn rats chewed through a tube on my bike and I need help identifying it!

2014 Tiger 800XC

I am not mechanically savvy (yet) and just got my Tiger a month ago. Left her outside due to some work being done and now this happens.

Left side of motorcycle:

  1. You can see the tube coming down
  2. You can see where the lower end is
  3. I tried to follow the lower tube and think it might route into that circular black object.

The upper tube left black sticky residue on my fingers.

UPDATE:

I’ve routed the tube to what I believe is the EVAP Purge valve. Photo posted in comments (looking from Right side of bike). Trying to troubleshoot with AI as I am not mechanically savvy.

ADV touring bikes

Looking for your thoughts and feelings about these three bikes (in any displacement)

Suzuki Vstrom
Triumph Tiger
Yamaha Tenere

I currently have a Himalayan 450 but I’m preparing to sell it. This is a story for another day.

I want to buy a used bike 2013+ that fits into the adv touring category. I ride 60% on the highway, 20% local city, and 10% on gravel / dirt roads.

I’ve settled on the above three due my own research about their quality, durability, and of course - LOOKS!

I’d love to hear your thoughts. I see a lot of Tigers and Vstroms for sale with relatively low miles. Many of them come kitted with crash bars and panniers.

My experience prior to the Himalayan has been street bikes and cafe racers.

I just want something fast for the California freeways, comfortable, and able to handle a fire road during the zombie apocalypse. Thanks!
