My driver side FWD was not opening properly.

Left the vehicle for repair.

They fixed it and I am hit with 97 dollar bill.

My MXP is about 6 months old. They did not charge me for the part but charged me for diagnostic.

I am a little baffled by this.

Is this normal?

Edit: Today is Saturday and the notification was received today. The facility is closed and won't reopen till Monday and won't reply to any inquiries until Monday.

Ordered 2026 MXP back in Feb and got it end of March. So it is roughly 6 -7 months old.

FWD on the driver side will only open 10 inches and stop so I made a service appointment and they want me to approve 250 dollar estimate. (I just realized that I wrote passenger side on the service request).

Sent them video of the issue and the USS data detecting something when closed.

They estimated 125 dollar for half hour labor. But total without any other items present to be 250 then tax was added.

I know this is just an estimate but is it customary they say they will charge you then not charge for warranty repair? Is this repair facility specific?

Kinda irks me paying all this money for the vehicle and they still want to squeeze more.

This is a Chinese take out that I just picked up. Just under 100 dollars for 4 entrees, Mongolian beef, greenbeans with beef, saseme chicken, tofu fried noodles with 2 egg rolls and no rice on the side.

My old folks in SC. Neighbor's detached garage fire melted the siding on their home.

They are reaching out to their home owner's insurance.

Anything that they should do or watch out for?

One of the last few still in the wild that I found. Box arrived open and worried it will be missing parts but, there was no missing part. In fact there were multiple spares.

Not the fan of the actual design BUT the entire assembly weighs 49 lbs that it is made of aluminum.

Artec makes good stuff. Everything fit perfect and holes lined up really well. RTT next.

Bought the front bumper camera protector by Spigen made for Model Y.

Made small modification and installed it on my Model X. Fits pretty well!

I saw Spigen makes front camera lense protector for Model Ys but none for X and no reputable brand was making one for the Model X.

Spigen lens protector has little slit on the adhesive tape on the bottom to allow venting to reduce trapping moisture.

There is a little tab that exist on this protector at the top. I decided to snip it off with wire cutter from Harbor Freight and install it on the front camera. It fits fine!

Hope this helps anyone thinking about getting the front lens protector from Spigen for Model Y.

Got my lazy butt off of the couch and installed the Nema 14-50.

Installed the Wall connector on my other place a couple months ago and I have to say, it is not that hard to do these work. With AI, you can gather information, ask questions about the install and stay compliant pretty easily. Have to say spent at least a week reading contents and watching videos learning about the topic though. Love learning new things.

Ask away. Would be happy to answer any questions for those who wanting to do this on your own.

I thought it was not inexpensive but it is certainly well made.

Small amount of post processing had to be done on the plate mount but overall the whole thing seems sturdy.

The mechnism to attach to the grille is also very well made and attaching and releasing takes literally seconds. It is also somewhat satisfying? how it actually does feel like snap into place.

I wear medium gloves all day with basically all glove manufacturers. You can see how thick the supporting arms are. There is very little deflection in this entire assembly.

I am happy with the purchase.

Here is my attempt to family proof the ride a little

Got Cybex Base T which uses Isofix with its fixed arms and a leg. Puts less pressure on the seat.

Trunk lip cover installed.

Seat back protectors (without too much crease).

Underseat tray has been useful with baby stuff.
