Removed my paint job using Citristrip. I have never used it before. It works great but the the gel like consistency leaves the Citristrip lingering in some hard to reach areas. It is definitely faster than acetone but removing the remaining product after the paint is gone is a bit tedious.

There is some residual gray paint left over on the stock. I am leaving it there for character. Especially considering I will probably paint it again within a few months.

Looking for advice for a new sewing machine for my small business

Hello,

I own a small tactical sling business called Daisho Tactical. I have been in business for three years. I use leather sewing machines because I use tubular nylon webbing for most of my projects and I often sew through multiple layers of webbing. I started with a $120 Chinese leather patcher off Amazon. It is a great machine but after three years of growth it can no longer keep up with my business needs. About a year ago I purchased a Sailrite Ultrafeed LS. Although this machine works great for long lines of stitching it does not work well for more precise stitching that I find myself doing more often than not on my products. The hand crank Chinese leather patcher is ideal for this type of sewing but it is very limiting. The bobbins are too small for the volume of sewing I am now doing. I would like to upgrade to a machine that has a larger bobbin and a smoother operation than my Chinese leather patcher. I use bonded nylon T70 thread. I really like using a hand-crank machine so I don't necessarily need a motorized machine. I am considering the TandyPro Class 26 Cylinder Arm Sewing Machine. As far as price goes I am not afraid to spend money on the right machine that can suite my needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

I am 16+ year SWAT officer and patrol rifle instructor who also owns a small tactical sling business. I make a variety of rifle slings and shooting bags in an assortment of colors, including variants of Multicam and M81 Woodland. My sling models are overbuilt for professional use.

I do a lot of custom work by request. If you want something that isn't listed on my website, like a different color pull tab or a padded section added to one of my sling models, just send me a message or add it in the notes section of your order.

All of my products are handmade at my workbench. If you have any issues with one of my products just contact me directly and I will make it right. Stop by my website, Daishotactical.com. Use discount code DAISHO10 at checkout for 10% off your entire order.

If you are interested in the behind the scenes stuff go check out my Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/daishotac/ I am not cool enough to be an "influencer" but it will give you a look of what I do and how that influences my sling designs. I also have a lot of product photos on there and some customer rifles.

Thanks,

Rob
