Why do i feel so much more energy following days after doing yin yoga ?

I was always tired after work, laid down from the time I arrived home till next day. But I’ve always been very flexible and my body started to feel very stiff, so I started doing yin yoga. It’s very easy for me to do deep stretches, I often need to really twist my body to feel something, and I feel after doing yin yoga, my energy is back. It’s strange because yin yoga isn’t about doing cardio or heavy muscle work, so I’m very surprised.

Impostor syndrome

My manager accidentally sent me internal interview feedback about a former classmate who interviewed at my company. During the interview she said that in a university group project I constantly needed to be told what to do, and that she didn’t want to manage someone while being an intern herself. Reading that was difficult. Because she also called me incompetent.

I’ve never spoken badly about her and despite not liking her, I always spoke well of her because I didn’t want to hurt her chances of finding a job.

What affected me most is that her comment touched on an insecurity I’ve had for years. I’ve struggled with feeling unintelligent since I was a kid, and I often second gues myself or look for reassurance. At work, I’ve become more proactive, though I still ask for guidance at times and I feel deep insecurities… I genuinely wanted to start this chapter with a new foot, with more motivation and more proactive. It feels unfair someone from university just comes to mess up with my work life.

How can I trust myself?

My ex classmate spoke shit about me during a job interview at the company I’m currently working at as an intern. She said I need to be told what to do constantly and she won’t accept an equal position to tell me what to do.

I have never spoken bad about her. On the contrary, I spoke well about her even if I dislike her because I didn’t want to ruin her chances of finding a job (I know how tough it is after graduation).

In what she is right is that I have a deep insecurity. I have to fight constantly against that fear that tells me everyday that I’m stupid, that I’m a retard. It’s been like that for a while, for many years to be precise, before I even noticed. I think I’ve felt stupid ever since I’ve been a kid. I feel less, I doubt everything I do. I lack direction. At work I’ve done stuff on my own more proactively, at some points I do ask what to do. Even the guy I’m dating said (in a different context), that I never decide on my own, that I should be more empowered.

My manager accidentally forwarded me internal interview feedback about a former classmate who interviewed at my company. The message also mentioned me, and I’m struggling. Here :

“The candidate came in with very little humility (my classmate), saying they were exceptional and that we simply hadn’t understood them. They proposed a one-month trial period and said we could decide afterward whether to keep them.
We discussed two issues: why they had such a high opinion of themselves, and why they said they didn’t work well with a former teammate (me).
Regarding the teammate, they explained that during a group project, the teammate constantly needed to be told what to do, and they didn’t want to feel like they were managing someone while they themselves were only an intern.
I told the candidate that this bothered me because it implicitly suggested that we’d hired someone incompetent. They didn’t really back away from that position.
We asked them to prepare a concrete proposal for what they would accomplish during a one-month trial, including deliverables and a timeline. Even after explaining it several times, I wasn’t convinced they understood what we were asking.
At this point I’m leaning toward rejecting them. My overall impression is that they don’t listen well, think too highly of themselves, and would be difficult to coach.”
