Roles other than logi/tanking/frontline

Many players dont know of all the many roles you can fill while playing Foxhole. So I thought we could list some of the lesser known ones.

  1. Aggressive CV builder. You can prep the CV when you see a BB/Relic is going down. And you also sneak behind enemy lines and ninja build some BB/Relic. I do this a lot.
  2. Expert partisan road blocker. You can do this solo or in a small group. Frontline sometimes have a lot of containers and flatbeds. Take flatbed with 1 mine. Kill the flatbed on the logi road and place the mine to the side to catch tankers. Or you can go jeep with tank trap + mines. Or pillboxes, mines and wires. There are many variants.
  3. Field looter. Get a truck and go to the active front and loot everything and bring it back to the BB.
  4. Spotter hunter or listening kit hunter. Look at key positions on the map and look for spotters/listening kits.
  5. Agressive mine layer. Find any naval routes and mine the fuck out of those areas.
  6. Partisan logi. I have my private stockpile and supply hidden bases or key locations for partisans to wreck havoc. Partisan unis, binos, radio, mammons, AT etc.
  7. Partisan taxi. Go with your jeep/barge to the frontline and tell ppl what to bring and what to do. Drive them to the location and go get more people.
  8. Bridge killer. Scout the area, gets some friends, move in with gunship or with a barge with charges and blow it up. Very effective to stop pushes or deny logi.
  9. The mammons supporter. When you see a mammom group forming you lay down suppresing fire with MG (if teched) or my favorite is to lay down a wall of smoke covering half the screen with Lunaire + smoke granade before the group reaches its target.
  10. Frontline tank support. You can do a jeep with bmats and fuel and keep the tankline operational. Or a simple tankette team spamming towers and covering the sides of the tank line from AT blobs.
  11. Bridge fight annihilator 3000. Get a friend and stock up on mortars. Shrapnel mortars are very cheap and effective. Fire a few rounds, wait 1 min, have he enemy push further across the bridge and fire again. Rinse and repeat.
  12. The frontline 30mm pusher. Works good in a team of two. Tripod and a mounted 30mm gun. Get into a key position just in range of defences and start blasting.
  13. The sneaky field bridge mortar team. Build a field bridge so you can get in range of your target. Fire mortars are great, regular mortars works wonders to.
  14. The down slope tank killer. Scout out a slope on a straight road behind enemy lines. And the bottom place a clusster or mines and wait for tanks to not be able to break in time and die.
  15. The car jacker. This works good on slopes as well. Tank traps or tripods at the bottom of sloped road. When he comes to a stop, gas him and wrench the truck/tank.
  16. The QRF man. Run around the logi roads. Switch positions. Steal trucks and park them on roads to force QRF. Deliberately enter intel areas to force QRF. Move around and avoid the QRF. Wait it out and move in again.
  17. Bob the Construction Equipment builder. Spam Construction Equipment thingys at the constructions yard or at major base builds.
  18. Cult leader. Start a wine press/Otto/Ryan cult. Charge comps for membership. Profit.
  19. The teabagger. Get a 9mm gun and a knife. Park your self at a logi border. Play jihad tunes on full blast while emptying a full clip into the truck while staying close to the driver side. Driver will panic and exit, knife him and teabag that sucker.

Speedrunning early war

What is something you like to rush as soon as you get into the game first hours? What is your trick to get ahead fast?

Do you CV rush neutral TH/relics and start building?

What is the first thing you Island larpers do when you get in game?

Do you go straight for a hidden base and cut logistics?

Guides and links

Wanted to make a collection of links and guides for new players. If you want me to add something just post the link or comment below and I try to add it. First I want to say that learning goes much faster when joining a "clan" or a regiment as its called in Foxhole. Join the Foxhole discord and check out the recruitment channel.

Mods/macros/auto clickers - Auto clicking is good for gathering and building etc.

Windows click lock will let you auto harvest or build without holding down your mouse button. Guide how to make a windows shortcut to click lock.

Foxhole autoclicker (needs Autohotkey v1)

Auto driving: If you are in a boat or vehicle you can press Enter, ctrl + W and then enter again to auto drive. Very useful to set up a mouse macro that does Enter, ctrl + W + Enter in one click. I have both forward and backwards macros (Enter, ctrl + S + Enter) binded to my DPI mouse buttons.

Mods: The most used ones are the Knights map mod, Foxhole UI icons, Red Icons mod. But I also use Dawnflags, Foxhole anthem flags, Gold wreckage, colored cursor and Sovngarde font.

If you play Collonial you want the RedIconWarden64.pak version of Red Icons mods and if you play Warden you want the RedIconColonial64.pak version.

I got smaller hand and I really like the feel of the G305 type of mice; the smaller lightweight type.

My only problem is I would like to have 3-5 side buttons if possible.

I currently have a Titanwolf mouse that is a bit big and clunky but has fantastic side buttons. The back of your thumb can comfortably press the two back buttons and the front 3 buttons can be pressed with the tip of your thumb.

Is there any smaller gaming mice (old or new) that have a 3rd side button like so?
