Is there anything legally that stops someone from just, giving up and going to live in the woods?

Like a normal person with a job and house up and decides instead of going to work that day, they are going to go into the woods somewhere and stay there forever.

Assuming the woods arnt someone else's private property, is there anything that would make this illegal?
