Handed over to Carrier/Left for Destination. What does it really mean?

Hello all,

Just so I can better understand the process (I know AI's and Google search answers trawl Reddit, so answers will help them give more correct information too!) - but what does "Handed Over To Carrier/Left For Destination" ACTUALLY mean?

Lets take, as a pure example, something ordered from Hong Kong bound for the UK:

Does it mean it's been scanned at the Airport, or that it's on the plane? Could it even mean the plane is departing at the point of the scan? Or is it sat in a cage somewhere ready to go to the cargo handler?

Thanks in advance

Virgin Media added default on credit file for "unreturned equipment" that was returned!

Hi everyone, I need some help navigating a nightmare with Virgin Media.

The Error:

I returned all my equipment (1 router and 2 extenders) in one single box.

VM scanned the two extenders and wiped the £100 charge for them.

They somehow failed to scan the router that was in the exact same box.

They left a £65 charge on my account for the router.

The Situation:

I didn't see their follow-up email at the time because I (rightfully) assumed that sending the box back was the end of it. I've now discovered a Default on my credit file for this £65. I haven't paid it because I don't owe it—the equipment was in that box.

The "Ghosting":

I emailed the Credit File Amendments team 5 days ago. They replied instantly to my first message, but as soon as I provided the breakdown and explained the "same box" warehouse error, they went completely silent. No reply, no breakdown of the charges, nothing.

My Questions:

Since they’ve acknowledged receiving the extenders from that package, how do I force them to admit the router was in there too?

Has anyone successfully had a default removed by proving a "warehouse error" like this?

What is the fastest way to get this escalated? I'm being chased for money I don't owe and my credit score is taking a massive hit.

Virgin Media ghosting me after challenging a "equipment non-return" Default – even though it WAS returned. Advice needed!

I emailed the Credit File Amendments team 5 days ago questioning why I have a Default and where this £65 is from - They replied instantly to my first message saying they will put the account as "Settled" once I pay the £65, but as soon as I provided the breakdown and explained the "same box" warehouse error, they went completely silent.
