I don’t have Hsv2, but someone for the first time just disclosed to me. We’re meeting up this week, and this is my response after thoroughly educating myself (this sub helped). I guess I want to say thanks all for being vulnerable and sharing your insights, it completely changed and helped my mindset. We’re all worthy of love, sex, relationships, all of that (I just learned this sub doesn’t take pics or else I’d link my text, so here is my response):

“Went down a total rabbit hole on this, really learned a ton. More than comfortable meeting up if you still want to. Fully changed my perspective too, sorry for phrasing it as “clean”, definitely changing my language moving forward”.

Question here - I’m talking with a guy who disclosed before we met that he has hsv2. He hasn’t had an outbreak since the initial one, and is on antivirals. I really don’t want to give into the stigma surrounding herpes, I know it is common, however there is the fear of it still. To add to that, I’ve had eczema all my life, various parts of my body (currently on eyelids, inner arm, feet). I know now after researching about eczema herpeticum, however was wondering if that is really only transmitted when there is a cold sore, or can it just happen from viral shedding as well? Thanks all for the advice.
