Weird 8th house vibes

Moon and Pluto both in Libra along with North node all in 8th house…is this why I almost solely use the vibes I feel coming off people to judge who they really are? I’m rarely wrong so I trust it 100% more than the words that might come out of their mouths. It’s been like that my whole life. Has gotten me involved with some people in really low places over the years, but I’ve never been directly in danger.

I can’t always tell exactly what emotions I’m feeling from them, but it’s always enough of a vibe to tell me if intentions are good or not. Sometimes they feel heavy, sometimes they’re welcoming, and every once in a while I find one that immediately feels like home (I try to keep these people close if I can).

What else do I need to know?

Will he be okay in life?

This is my son’s chart. He’s a young adult now, making his way in life. We have a good relationship, but he doesn’t live nearby. I constantly worry about him because I wasn’t able to give him the childhood he deserved. Life was hard and home wasn’t always safe or loving, and not only do I carry a lot of guilt about that, I hate that he didn’t have an example of a healthy stable relationship between his parents as a foundation. I love who he is as a person, and am proud of what he has accomplished for himself so far. Not that anyone’s life will be free from difficulties, but can anyone tell me if he will be okay and happy in his life?

Why is there such an overwhelming need on my part to protect and physically care for them? Like making sure they are alive, safe and even going out of my way to be sure they have everything they need to stay that way. It never feels like a burden, more just like something I’m being naturally compelled to do. Is there something here that explains why I feel that way?

Edit: I’m blue.

I’m interested in hearing about whether this connection is important/significant (maybe a lesson, or a soulmate either platonic or romantic, or something else) to one or both people?

We met up for what was supposed to just be a hookup. Matched on an app, but we were in each other’s orbit during our child/teen years so we weren’t total strangers. Laughed and talked so much that we didn’t even have sex until we met up again the next night. That was 3ish months ago. Since then we see each other at least 4 days a week, sometimes more than once a day. We don’t go out, we just spend time at home together. We don’t have sex every time we get together, sometimes it’s more like a best friend hangout. We say that we’re friends. We are both avoidant types. There are also some big reasons that admitting to a “real” relationship would be really hard. So we don’t talk about it directly. But, lately this feels more heavy. Like it’s changing without our permission or something. I think it started as a situationship, but idk what it is now. Do I just let it flow or do I need to do something like force a talk?

I’m too old for this shit. And he’s almost 4 years older than me. Our personalities are eerily similar and I hate being able to “read” each other-it makes it harder to talk when you already know what the answer is going to be.

TLDR: We started a situationship by accident 3 months ago. I think the tone is changing lately. When does it cross from being a situationship to being a relationship?

I’m at level zero in astrology, but I want to learn more. There is so much information out there and I’m always reading to try and get clarity on new things. One of the things that I feel like I don’t have even a basic understanding of is what it means to have planets in retrograde. Like I have 3 of them I think….Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter.

My questions are: Is that a negative thing for me to have those in retrograde? How does that affect my chart as a whole? And last, does anyone have any recommendations on where I can find more information so I can learn more about this?

Thank you!
