Is there any way to buy glasses without a prescription? Don’t know what my prescription was either

My glasses broke and I am completely blind so this is a problem :( my insurance is useless so I can’t have an exam right now, and I went to the place I last had my eyes examined and they wouldn’t print out the prescription or tell me what it was because it was expired. Is there anything I can do? I know I got a contact prescription a while ago and they had me to a quick exam by placing my phone some distance away and reading letters out loud, but I don’t know if that app is around anymore.

Anyone else develop an aversion to drinking water?

I’m so dehydrated all the time yet I have such a hard time forcing myself to drink water. if you deal with this, what helps you?

I’m putting on a new set of strings but unsure what to do with this. Does it just stay down there by the loop? Is it supposed to protect the bridge? Am I supposed to take it off? It’s a soft, cotton like material.

The G, D, and A all have this. the E has a normal bridge protector and so does the A so I’m going to assume it’s probably not to protect the bridge?

edit: I’m thinking it’s meant to stay where it is to provide some cushioning for the sound post holes maybe but if anyone knows feel free to chime in
