Idk why more Indian weddings don’t try doing fun stuff beyond the same DJ nights anymore 😭😭 Like every wedding nowadays feels copy pasted...same loud songs...same people pretending to dance...same uncles standing near food counters judging everyone...same cousins making reels whole night

So I recently went to my cousin sister’s wedding in Alibaug near Mumbai and idk they genuinely did something so different that literally EVERYONE ended up talking abt it the whole weekend

Instead of planning a DJ night they planned a BOARD GAME NIGHT

At first everyone was confused only 😭 Like relatives were entering the hall thinking “acha dance floor kidhar h” and instead there were tables full of games and cousins forcing people to sit together n play

And somehow it worked SO WELL

They had Azul...Jenga...and Mission Scribbles and honestly Mission Scribbles became THAT game which literally every guest could play together without awkwardness

No complicated rules...just people drawing nonsense...miming badly...guessing random things and laughing continuously

It genuinely reminded me of childhood housie/tambola nights during family functions where nobody cared how they looked while having fun

And idk maybe that’s what made the whole wedding feel so warm?? Like usually weddings become so performative nowadays...this one actually felt personal

No pressure to look cool...no pressure to dance if you don’t want to...people were just existing together and laughing

Even grandparents were sitting there watching people mime things and laughing at wrong answers 😭😭

I swear I haven’t seen that many relatives interact naturally in YEARS

Lowkey feel every wedding should keep one night only for games now

I literally met this guy twice in the canteen queue at the counter

What triggers me is, how he got to know, I'm the CR but I'm literally in the biochemistry course and we don't share the same building even!!!!!

I bought this from I think Ramada, but it is mostly out of stock now, can you please name a cafe which might have this board game?
Thank you <3
