Is it safe to pull into the intersection when the light is green and you’re waiting to turn left?

I watched this video, can’t help but think if you don’t stop in the intersection, number 1 you give yourself less time to turn before oncoming traffic flows, and number 2 if the light turns red again you’re stuck waiting for the light to turn green again, and in some places with heavy traffic you’d be waiting forever if you didn’t pull into the intersection a little.

Can a worker hide in the bathroom for the whole shift and be legally protected from getting fired?

I was watching an episode of Beavis and Butthead, they work at a fast food restaurant and they decide to spend the entire day in the bathroom instead of dealing with the customers. The manager drags them out and threatens to fire them but a lawyer in the store says they are protected by worker’s rights to take as long of a bathroom break as they need.
