How does ComfyUI work?

Hi everyone!

I recently got an RTX 5070 and I've been hearing a lot about ComfyUI, but I still don't fully understand everything it's capable of.

I'm a graphic designer, and I'd love to use AI to improve my workflow. For example, I'd like to create realistic mockups, generate custom illustrations, typography, textures, and other design assets.

One thing I'm especially interested in is whether it's possible to train or guide models using a library of my own designs so the generated images follow the same visual style and aesthetic as my work. Is that something ComfyUI can do? If so, what's the best approach (LoRAs, Flux, ControlNet, IPAdapter, etc.)?

I'd also love to know:

  • What are the most useful workflows you recommend?
  • What are some things ComfyUI can do that other UIs can't?
  • Is an RTX 5070 enough to take advantage of most of its features?
  • If you were starting today, what would you learn first?

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth investing the time to learn ComfyUI and how I can get the most out of my GPU.

Thanks!

How to Scale Services with Meta Ads? (Design Agency)

Hi everyone,

I'd love to get some feedback from people who have experience generating leads for service businesses through Meta Ads.

I'm a freelance graphic designer, and I currently get most of my clients through Facebook and Instagram ads targeting Argentina. Overall, the strategy works well and consistently brings me new clients, so I know Meta Ads can work for my business.

Now I'm trying to grow beyond my local market and attract business owners in markets where companies typically invest more in branding and design.

A while ago I tried running campaigns targeting the US, but I couldn't make them profitable. I tested different creatives and messaging, but nothing really clicked. I focused on the US because there are millions of businesses that could potentially need branding, logo design, packaging, social media design, and other creative services—but I feel like I was missing something.

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have successfully sold creative or B2B services through Meta Ads.

  • Would you continue targeting the US, or would you test other countries first?
  • What type of creatives perform best for design services? (Before & afters, case studies, videos, testimonials, mockups, etc.)
  • What messaging or hook has worked best for attracting business owners?
  • Would you target broad audiences or specific industries?
  • Are there any common mistakes people make when trying to sell creative services through Meta Ads?
  • If you were in my position, what would you test first?

I'm not looking for a shortcut—I'd just like to learn from people who have already scaled service businesses with Meta Ads and understand what actually works.

Thanks!

Gracias!

What do you like to see in an ad from a branding agency?

I'm curious about something as a business owner.

When you see an ad from a branding or logo design agency, what actually makes you stop scrolling?

Would you be more interested in:

  • A before & after brand transformation?
  • A collage of different logos?
  • Mockups showing the logo on packaging, signs, uniforms, etc.?
  • A short video explaining the design process?
  • A real client case study?
  • Something else entirely?

Also, what immediately makes you ignore or scroll past an ad from a branding agency?

I'm not looking for design critiques—I'm genuinely trying to understand what catches the attention of business owners and what builds trust.

I'd really appreciate your honest opinions.

Business owners: How do you prefer designers or agencies to reach out to you?

I'm curious about something as a business owner.

If a designer or branding agency wanted to offer you their services, what's the best way to get your attention without coming across as spammy?

Would you be more receptive to:

  • Seeing an Instagram or Facebook ad and reaching out yourself if interested?
  • A direct message on Instagram?
  • A personalized email?
  • A LinkedIn message?
  • A cold call?
  • Something else entirely?

Also, what immediately makes you ignore or dismiss someone who's trying to offer design or branding services?

I'm not looking to promote anything—I'm genuinely interested in understanding how business owners prefer to be approached and what builds trust versus what feels intrusive.

I'd really appreciate your honest opinions and experiences.

What Are the Best Ways to Get Clients for a Design Agency Through Meta Ads?

Hey everyone,

I run a design agency focused on branding, logo design, and visual identity, and I've been experimenting with Meta Ads (Instagram) to generate clients.

I'm curious to hear from other agency owners, freelancers, or marketers who have successfully acquired clients through Meta Ads.

A few questions:

  • What campaign objective has worked best for you? (Messages, Leads, Sales, etc.)
  • Do you target broad audiences or specific niches?
  • What types of creatives perform best for design services?
  • Do you use portfolio-style ads, educational content, or direct offers?
  • What's your typical cost per lead/client?
  • Any mistakes you made early on that you'd avoid today?

I'd also love to know:

  • If you're running a branding or design agency, what was the biggest breakthrough that helped you consistently generate clients?
  • Are there any strategies outside of Meta Ads that complemented your results?

Thanks !

Do Meta Ads Actually Scale Well for Branding Agencies?

I run a small branding/design agency focused mostly on logo design and visual identity.

Right now I’m spending around $10/day on Meta Ads and recently managed to get around 10 clients in a single month through Instagram DMs conversations, which honestly works really well for me because closing sales through DMs feels natural and easy.

Now I’m trying to figure out how scalable this actually is long-term.

For agency owners or freelancers using Meta Ads successfully:

  • How much do you typically spend before scaling aggressively?
  • What kind of creatives convert best for branding/design services?
  • Do you focus more on portfolio-style ads, transformations, testimonials, or direct offers?
  • Is Instagram DMs still a good sales funnel as volume increases?
  • At what point did you move beyond Meta Ads into other acquisition channels?

Would love to hear real experiences from people actually getting agency clients through paid ads.
