Workstation Setup advice

Workstation Setup advice

Hi all -

A few days ago my 27" 4k display fell and broke. I had a 24" spare that I've hooked up in its place. Before I go buy a new HD display, I had a thought... Anyone using smaller portable monitors for plugins and stuff? Thinking about a 16" monitor + this 24" instead of 1 bigger monitor.

Curious for any thoughts or opinions on this and would love to hear what you all are doing.

Cheers & thx!

Bike Commuting to Troy --> shower options?

Hey /

I'm planning to start bike commuting to work. Ideally, I'd love to find a shower there and the office I'll be going to doesn't have one.

Any ideas?

Cheers & thx!

I picked up this Crumar DS-2 tonight. My first new synth day in a long, long time.

  • It's strange.
  • It's got huge sounds.
  • the poly/mono interplay is really weird and cool...
  • it's incredibly clean and
  • the bass is just next level!

Still getting to know it but it's going to be on every song for a while.

Anyone out there have one of these? One thing I've noticed is that the LFO seems to kind of leak through into the sound even when it's not supposed to... maybe just quirky Crumar?

If you have one I'd love to hear your experience with it or cool settings to mess with etc.

Cheers!

I've been really enjoying instrumental albums lately, especially Pino Palladino and Blake Mills 2 albums, "That wasn't a Dream" and "Notes with Attachments." I've also really enjoyed Floating Points Promises lately, but it's a less frequent listen. Looking to expand my collection with more stuff like this.

Any recommendations in this direction would be greatly appreciated!

Found on a down tree by a creek on my Am walk. Caught my eye from afar but I don’t recognize it. Thanks In advance!

Hi --
I used to take accordion lessons from an amazing teacher years ago.
Missing it... looking for a new teacher. Love old musette stuff the most or Frank Marocco kind of jazz.

Anyone in the albany area?

Cheers & thx!
