How do I actually get my first client for a service business?

Hi everyone! I'm an 18 year old getting into ai automation. I'm looking to build stuff like chatbots, whatsapp responders, appointment booking agents, etc. I have spent some time teaching myself.

But I'm stuck on how to actually reach out to people to provide my services. I'm confused about where and how to start my outreach.

I'm ready to put in the work but don't have any clarity on what to do. Someone please guide me. I'm all stressed out here.

Thanks!

How do I actually market my service business?

Hi there everyone. I'm an 18 year old getting into ai automations. I'm looking to provide basic ai automation services like WhatsApp chatbots, automated follow-ups, appointment booking agents, etc, to small businesses.

As of now, I am looking for my first client, but I don't know where and how to start my outreach. Where should I look for potential clients who are actually in need of my services?

It would be of great help if anyone guided me through this.

Thanks a lot!

Is this a good deal?

I found an Asus TUF F16 with a i7 14650HX and a 5060 with 16gb ram and 1tb ssd.

I need a laptop for university and some light gaming(Wuthering Waves and RDR2).

Not competitive gaming.

Is this laptop reliable?

Will this work for my use case? If anyone has any review, please feel free to tell about it.

Thanks alot!

I need some guidance please.

Hi there everyone! I'm an 18 year old first-time agency owner based in Saudi Arabia. I'm looking to provide marketing and lead generation/enrichment services to small businesses/solo-businesses.

As of now, I've started cold calling some home improvement agencies in the US and have been improving my script and tone over the weeks. Haven't signed any client yet though. I've done about 50 calls but was mostly hung up on after I ask my opening question. I'll give my current script below.

I make around 5-10 calls a day but haven't been able to do more yet. I feel anxious sometimes about the future of my agency and nervous while picking up the phone and get rejected over and over again. Regardless, I'm still doing it but want to increase my input.

I would really like my questions answered so I get some clarity.

  1. Is the home improvement agencies a good niche?
  2. How long on average does it take to sign my first client and get my business actually started?
  3. How many cold calls should I ideally make per day while making time for my university and studies?
  4. What kind of ideal agencies should I search for? Right now, I scrape the leads off of Google Maps.
  5. What is a simple client onboarding process I should focus on?

Please feel free to provide your own suggestions. I would also be glad if I get in touch with some like-minded people so I have some support and accountability through my journey as I'm alone right now. Please do reach out and we can have a chat! Thanks alot!

Cold Call Script

Hi is it [name] I'm speaking to? [Yes]
Do you have a minute to talk?

[Yes/who is this?]

Perfect, it's Danish here
Quick question — how are you guys currently getting most of your new jobs? Like referrals, ads — what's working for you right now?

And are you guys following up with those leads manually or do you have something automated?

Positive Response - So I’m giving out a free trial for my system that helps convert more of your leads to clients automatically. I'd love to tell you about how it works. Worth a quick look?

And I'm so confident this will work for you that if I don't get you clients, you wouldn't have to pay me anything. Would that be worth a quick chat to you?

Service Explanation - I help home improvement agencies get more clients booked in with AI agents and they don’t have to do anything extra themselves. I generate the traffic, our AI agent qualifies them and books them straight into your availability. We use a combination of Facebook and Google ads to generate the traffic/leads and our AI agent books the clients on your behalf. I'd love to run through it all in more detail with you, have you got like 15 minutes free early next week?

Negative Response - Just so you know, I'm not trying to sell you anything right now, I just want to arrange another time when we can have a quick 15 minute meeting, get past this awkward cold call stage, and I can share some ideas with you.
