Went to Harry’s Cigars in Philadelphia. Friendly service. Enjoyed the cigar, while reading a biography on the fashion designer known for dressing the Sex Pistols, among other things.

I do stock support/merchandising for Ralph Lauren, being someone noticed the area. Aside from the brand manager liking the display, messing around with the bags have made me appreciate them. Recently, I was looking for a bag to fit my eyeglasses and sunglasses and a few souvenirs while on a trip (give my messenger bag a break.)

Considering I’ve heard comments of the Coach Empire resembling a doctor’s bag, I found it fitting to add a defunct Doctor Who pocket/fob watch as a charm.

I have no need for another bag and am content with what I have. This style does have certain meaning to me though, which is why I have the charm version.

I found the sewing patterns on YouTube, and made a few modifications (making the larger bag a convertible and adding a pocket.) Surprisingly, I had better luck with the household sewing machine than my Singer Cosplay. My main peeve with the tutorial is it recommended only fusible interfacing. I’m considering remaking it with a board type interfacing to make the larger bag stiffer.

I remember buying this for you, Mother, as a present, and it made my heart glad seeing you wearing it. Cleaning out your house back in February, I took this with me, along with the ascot that I gave you. Your house was sold the day before what would’ve been your birthday. Today marks the anniversary of when you were sent to the hospital to reveal the diagnosis, and I still miss you as though you left yesterday.
