Bucket’s Permanent thousand-yard stare

My friend’s farm dog I trained (was a very under socialized rescue). If you couldn’t tell from the photos he does actually love me lol!

Is venous insufficiency worth looking into?

Hi all, I have an appointment with a vascular specialist who is familiar with POTS to do an ultrasound on my legs but I’m wondering if it’s worth it to go. If anyone has experience or insight I’d appreciate it!

On one hand, I have POTS and blood pooling issues in my legs, my feet and often lower calves tingle constantly, my legs always feel heavy and make it hard to stand still without needing to sit right away. I have some spider veins but nothing bulging out, and I’m wondering if they find issues in the veins deeper in my legs bad enough to need ablation/closing, would that actually help? I would think it could help shorter term but since POTS is an autonomic issue causing the vein constriction issue, wouldn’t the blood pool elsewhere and just strain the other veins and the issue would return? I’m not sure if that makes sense but I’d hate to waste the time and money just to be told to put on compression stockings (which I already do)

EKG Abnormalities

I take Ivabradine for POTS and have been on it for several years now and have an ekg once a year that has always been normal until a year ago. I had left my cardio apt and saw there were two new diagnoses on my aftercare sheet: Left Bundle-Branch Block, unspecified, and nonspecific Intraventricular Block. This isn’t something Ivabradine can cause and seems to be benign if nothing is structurally wrong with your heart (just what I was told I am not a doctor!). Has anyone had conduction abnormalities come up with your POTS or dysautonomia? I guess your heart can do strange things sometimes to try to keep equilibrium, and that EKG may have just happened to catch it during that time, at least according to my new cardiologist, which I found interesting.

Obviously it would be different if conduction abnormalities were happening too frequently, and I’ve also been really short of breath with exertion (which isn’t new lol) so he is having me repeat an echo and 7 day heart monitor to make sure everything is still good! The shortness of breath is greatly worsened in higher elevation though, has anyone experienced this? It would make sense i guess but it seems like I’m so sensitive to the change even if it’s not a ton.

Medical insurance

I’m on a lot of meds and am getting taken off my dad’s insurance in about 6 months and am so nervous about affording Ivabradine and also specialists. My symptoms are still there but manageable enough to do my job, but I’m basically bed bound without ivabradine. I’m not eligible for health insurance from my current job and am looking for advice on anyone who has been through something similar! Where can I find some resources to find insurance that covers a chronically ill girly without going broke, if that even exists nowadays lol. Not sure if this question is allowed, but delete if so and I appreciate any help:)

Summoning Sunsquawk

I’ve been trying to summon my last two parrot guys for what seems like forever and decided to try and use 100% wind and 100% uncommon essences, but will that just always get me the Blush Pinewing? I’ve done it like fifteen times and that’s all I get!

Money Plant Stem Rot Help

TLDR: accidentally overwatered my new money tree and discarded one trunk and lots of roots that couldn’t be saved. The rest seem good except the very end base of one trunk is very slightly squishy (see vid). what do I do? Could I cut away that part or could it recover if I just repot? How deep should I plant it in the new soil?

More details:

I bought this money tree a few days ago and re-potted it after snipping off the rubber band tied to the trunk. I used the same soil it came in and watered it thoroughly since it was bone dry, and set it by my west facing window. I noticed the smallest newer growth leaves at the very top were crinkling up and when I touched them they instantly fell off completely (that’s why they aren’t in the vid). There were already a few browning, dry spots on some of the edges of the leaves when I bought it, but this was new. I took it out of the pot and one of the trunks was very squishy so I threw it out and snipped off all the affected roots on the other trunks (most of it lol), sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide mix and left to dry out and callous before I replant in new better draining soil. I read to use cactus plant mix and my pot drains well, I also don’t plan on watering it for a while to let it recover. How deep do I plant it in the new soil? Is there saving the very end of one of the trunks (it gives way only a little bit if I squeeze it). Could it recover on its own and firm up again? This is my first ever plant so I really want to save it!
