Gefunden in einem Bach in Österreich… was sehr komisch ist. Siehe Text.

Hallo!

Bussi

The holy relic glory item... is it good?

Hello! Im playing a campaign currently, with a iron sultanate warband. I am overflowing with glory, and have been for a while (mostly lucky exploration rolls). ATP i got all glory items i really ever wanted, even a scripture guardian and a knighthood.

So now I am at 13 models, and all other players are as well. I am torn between getting a mamluk faris (which I don't really need, as all my other guys have better guns than he does, and there aren't any obvious fireteam synergies in my list), OR being extra and buying two holy relics for my most valuable elites.

It would only mean two blessing markers per game, but that's forever. I don't think that's a terrible deal for 4 glory, of which I have plenty.

Did anyone ever get a holy relic? Is it bad, is it good? Thanks!

What game should I pick up next?

Hello,
I played stronghold crusader as a child and picked it up again. Love the game.
I mostly enjoy the castle building part of the game.
What game should I try next? Old or new, I don’t really care.

Some newbie questions regarding the SAMPLE

I watched plenty beginner tutorials and have played around with the sample for a few hours now, but I haven’t figured out how to do a few things:

How can I apply a global effect to a specific sequence only? Like if I want a LP filter on one sequence, how would I do that? So far I couldn’t get the effect to „record“.

And a related question, how can I change a pads parameters within one sequence only? Like if I want to turn a pads volume down but only have it apply to one sequence.

These are probably very simple questions, but I just couldn’t figure it out. Thanks guys ✌️

Idea for a portablist setup - is this crazy stupid?

Hey everyone, still kind of new to this whole thing. Got myself an omni recently, and have been loving it. I really miss being able to just press a pad and trigger a new beat, sample, whatever. And yeah, i know theres apps, but i dont want to stare at a screen while scratching vinyl.

I've looked at some sampler recently, namely the ep133 ko2 and the roland sp404, but they're overkill for my needs. I dont even need to be able to chop up the samples or get some effects on my scratches. I just want a "drum pad" for me to load beats and samples onto for live performances. Also, I need to be able to operate it with one hand while scratching AND it has to have a battery ofc.

So my idea was actually getting myself a Yamaha FGDP-50... its a finger drum pad, but it can save samples from USB, has a battery and has a AUX input. It also looks very simple to use. No UI clutter, and lets me focus on the scratching.

Is this insane? Or is there another tool that fits my needs you'd recommend. I would really like to stay beneath 300 € and have as little clutter as possible. Let me know what you think. Peace.

When do the Iron Sultanates explosive charges get consumed?

Couldn’t find any ruling on this - do the iron sultanates dotiw‘s explosive charges get consumed upon placing them at the start of the game or only once they’re blown up? What’s your interpretation?

DotIW - Who mans the cannon?

EDIT: I think I’ll go with the sapper. Statistically the hit rate goes from ~99% with a +2 ranged to ~91% at +1 ranged, but this still leaves my alchemist and silahdar open to get closer to the enemy. It’s also 25 ducats cheaper, which is an azeb worth of points.

I’ve been building my Defenders of the iron wall list for my upcoming campaign and I’ve been going back and forth on who will man my cannon. I know cannons are meh, but they’re cool.

Alchemist obviously not - the alchemists ability only triggers when the target survives which they wont when shot with the cannon.

Silahdar is the go to for most I believe - +2 to ranged, tough so the cannoneer can’t easily be sniped and having a troop with the leader keyword hang back and survive is nice too. I’m not sure if this is ergonomic though. Ton of ducats invested and I’m essentially missing one of my better models up front.

Sapper… unconventional, but it could work - I have been toying with the idea of having a sapper man the cannon. Cheap(er than the silahdar), so if he dies (cannon remains of course), I can „recrew“ the cannon for as little as 50 ducats. +1 ranged is also decent and the sapper starts with a shovel for guaranteed cover.

I think I might just try the sapper. It’s the cheapest way to get a +1 cannon for just 110 ducats. Or is it better to ATP invest and get the silahdar to crew the cannon? Let me know what you think.

House of Wisdom - how necessary/good are homunculi?

Hello! Currently building my HoW list, and I really like the idea of the homunculi, but I am thinking of dropping one of my two homunculi and instead getting something else… why? Honestly, because I only have one good looking homunculus model and don’t have a printer available or want to pay any more than I already have for my models.

So, how badly am I crippling myself when I go down to only one homunculus? And what are your favourite homunculi loadouts when playing one and two respectively? Any advice and personal experience is welcome. Thanks.

Has anyone ever tried playing two deployed grand cannons (defenders of the iron wall)? Check body

I am just getting into the game with some friends of mine and I really like the defenders of the iron wall subfaction, more specifically the grand cannons. Big cannon go BUM.
But one isn’t enough and the blazing bulls shooting is too mid to put it on him, so I think I’m going to play two grand cannons.
Anyone ever tried it? Not playing seriously or competitively (is there a competitive TC scene?), just want some casual wins. Or at least have a ton of fun losing.
