AI/DS vs IT Placements at CBIT/VNR?

Hey everyone, looking for some quick, humble advice from seniors regarding branch choices:

Placements: Do campus companies allow AI/DS and IT students to sit for the same software roles as CSE with equal priority?

AI/DS vs AI/ML: What is the main difference academically and placement-wise?

Your Choice: Between IT and AI/DS, which one would you choose for better placement safety?

Thank you!

CBIT/VNR CSE (2.9k EAPCET) vs. Low-tier NIT Core (90k JEE CRL/30k obc rank)? 18M Need honest advice.

Hey guys, I am a male candidate facing a major choice and need some perspective. My 2026 ranks are: TS EAPCET: 2900 (BC-B) and JEE Main: 90k CRL / 30k OBC.

With my EAPCET rank, I can get CSE / IT at top state colleges like CBIT or VNR VJIET. However, if I sit for CSAB rounds with my JEE rank, I might fetch Civil or Mechanical at lower-tier NITs or newer IIITs.

My ultimate goal is a career in the tech industry. Is it worth sacrificing the CSE branch at a premier Hyderabad college just for the NIT tag if I end up in a non-tech branch? If you were in my shoes, what would you choose and why? Appreciate any insights from seniors!

Hey everyone,

I was registering for BITSAT Session 2 yesterday and tried to complete the payment of ₹3600. The amount was successfully deducted from my bank account, but the BITSAT application portal is still showing the status as "Failed" or "Pending."

Since the deadline is tomorrow (May 2nd, 5 PM), I'm getting a bit worried.

Has this happened to anyone else recently? How long did it take to update?

Should I wait for it to update or just pay again to be safe? (I heard BITS refunds extra payments, but I want to be sure).

Any specific contact number or email that actually responds quickly?

I've already sent an email to the admissions helpdesk but haven't heard back yet. Any advice from seniors or fellow aspirants would be a huge help. Thanks!
