This one's a bit different from the usual posts. No startup tip. No discussion prompt. Just us, talking to you directly about where PakStartups is, where it's going, and why we need people like you to help get it there.
First — On Moderation
We've paused AutoMod on the subreddit.
We know bots are convenient. But convenience isn't always right. Good posts were getting caught. Context was being missed. A first-time founder asking a genuine question was being treated the same as someone spamming the feed and that's not the community we're trying to build.
So we're going manual. Real eyes on real posts. It's slower, it's more work, and honestly it's worth it. We're also doing a full cleanse of the sub right now. Stale content, rule violations, low-effort posts are all being cleared out. You'll notice the difference. That's the point.
Second — The Website
PakStartups.org is being actively built.
We're not just making a website. We're building a proper home for Pakistan's startup ecosystem, structured, founder-focused, and built to actually be useful. Not another landing page that sits there looking nice and doing nothing.
A lot of you have asked about open sourcing it and that conversation isn't just live, it's already started. The repository is up:

Third — And This Is the Real Reason for This Post
We need help.
Not in a desperate way. In the way that any real thing being built by real people eventually needs more hands. PakStartups has crossed 12,000 members. The Discord is growing. The website is in development. And the mod team right now is small.
So we're opening it up.
We're looking for volunteer contributors across four areas:
Moderation You're active. You know the community. You can tell the difference between a founder who needs encouragement and someone who's here to spam. No experience needed, just good judgment and genuine care for what this space is supposed to be.
Development Frontend, backend, docs. If you can build, there's real work to do on PakStartups.org. Early contributors will have shaped the thing thousands of Pakistani founders use every day.
Design UI, UX, visual identity, social creatives, presentation design. If you think in systems and aesthetics, we want you in the room. Good design is how a scrappy community starts looking like a movement.
Business Development Partnerships, outreach, ecosystem connections, sponsorships. If you know how to open doors and build relationships, there's a real role here. PakStartups has reach. We need people who know what to do with it.
