Am I crazy for considering the white one over the black?

Okay so I've been dead set on the black MM+ for a while now. I kinda thought having a black shell would help with the emersion of the game especially when playing at night or honestly anytime.

However, the white one kinda grew on me. I never had a SNES growing up but I think those are famicom colors. but I had an original GB and a purple transparent one as a kid so I'm not considering those colors. But the white one... I'm just a little nervous about it staining over time (have a baby) and the bright white kinda being distracting when looking at the unit.

I did read today about light bleed with the transparent black though... Not sure if it's more of a non issue or is sort of a nightlight blasting from the top of your screen?

Also texture.. Those of you who have the transparent vs. non-transparent which texture is better?

Black one always seems to be more expensive too..

Closer I get to ordering the harder this is.

What's with this Bait and Switch pricing?

Go to aliexpress see the price advertised (Miyoo's listing too btw). So login and this is the price. This is a new account. I find aliexpress friggin exhausting. So many of their listings just always seem like BS. Once you login things magically go up in price. You can have 2 browsers next to each other to compare the listed then logged in price.

Confused on which versions to use

Which version would be the easiest version to use? All I would use it for is mostly retro games and PLEX (if this is possible). Steam maybe here and there some indie games. So I'm not sure if the official, GNOME, or Steam-HTPC. The description of the Steam-HTPC version says "Console-like interface for living-room setups with big-screen TVs." So does this mean it comes with Steam installed or the actual interface is like steam?

Also does Nobara have a live version I could load from a usb drive or anything? The list time I fooled around with Linux was like 16 years ago and it was Linux Mint.

Do I need to know any Linux commands to use this OS?

Thank you

R36S Cloners who is still using the original SD card?

So I ordered a clone for a b-day present. It should be a good one but we'll see. I'm sort of curious how many of you are still rocking your original SD cards? I know they don't typically have a good reputation but if it works it works.

I'll backup the card for them as a precaution. Is there a specific program you would recommend to I guess copy the image?

Lastly, is there any like boot load files or anything specific to the original SD card that are important? Or can you just grab a new OS (clone specific of course) and install it on a new SD card and you're good to go?

Thanks!

Hanhibr Game Store(Trader) legit store?

Anyone have any experience with this seller? Any sort of return / warranty issues with these people? Never purchased anything from Aliexpress before so not really sure who is legit or not. I looked at the wiki on where to buy and there is nothing in there.

Do all Miyoo Mini Plus's make some sort of PWM noise? I think I read a few posts about it now. I don't know if that's a thing of the past or a persistent issue? Does changing the brightness to 9 or 10 make it go 100% away or just minimizes it? Also is this audible through the 3.5mm jack?

Seems like it's a screen thing not a speaker thing.
