Fortnite kill my hotspot
Hello dear IT experts, I have a TUF GAMING X570 plus WI-FI motherboard (wifi card: Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9260 160MHz ) and I have a huge problem. Everything starts with a strange but systematic behavior: Premise: I use an Ethernet cable for my connection You turn on the PC, activate the Windows 11 Mobile Hotspot and everything works perfectly (devices connect and browse). You launch Fortnite. The game opens, you stay in the menu, but at the exact moment you load the map to enter the match (or rather right as you get into the battle BUS), the hotspot suddenly disconnects. If you try to reactivate it from the Windows Settings, you are greeted by the error message: "We can't set up mobile hotspot". You are forced to restart the PC. Even without activating the hotspot, you play and then close the game, the card still won't start. If you use the same Wi-Fi card simply to connect the PC to another network (like your home modem or a phone hotspot), the Wi-Fi does NOT disconnect and you play Fortnite without any problem and the hotspot stays active.
At first I thought it was a power saving issue or something similar, so I disabled every feature, both from the drivers and from windows. Then I thought about something related to the anti-cheat, but downloading similar games I have no problems at all (like Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, gta 5 enhanced, etc. etc.) I thought about driver issues so I downloaded the latest ones available directly from Intel but nothing. I disabled every firewall and anti-virus, nothing! Intensive use of AI to solve the problem, from different providers, and nothing... AH before everything worked perfectly but due to some issues with windows update, I decided to re-install WIN11 latest version 25H2 from scratch (formatting the old disk). As if I were turning on the PC for the very first time.
