Musician and long time serious listener here. I mostly listen to music on ATH-M50X headphones, or Bose system in the car. I tried earbuds a few years ago and came to the conclusion that they just suck. So I figured I'd try again. Grabbed my wife's Apple AirPods pro 2, and bought the Technics EAH-AZ80 after reading about them. My initial reaction to both is - how can anyone used to listening to good sounding music live with either one of them - at all?? I tried Jazz, Classical, rock and R&B - and it's just nonexistent quality! Are there expensive earbuds that actually sound good, or should I just write them off as crap?

My main device is an iPad but I sometimes like to edit a few things on the iPhone. Sync works fine - but it keeps turning off in my iPhone!
