I have a question for the Glass Makers

I'm new to working with glass and I'm turning a wooden standing clock into a fish tank and tarrarium, I can do the tarrarium because it's just straight lines but I was wondering if anyone would know how I can do the fish tank part. It's a round hole and I'm not sure if it would be easier to cut out a square hole and build my own tank to fit it or if I should find someone to make a cylinder to slide in. Ill put the pictures for measurements on the circular hole. Only issue if I get someone to make a cylinder shaped tank is it would need a cut off the top so I can do basic maintenance. What are your thoughts glass makers? (And yes, I checked the disk, it's rough but it's all roughly the same width)

Is this a crack?

I can't tell if this is a crack or a root, I'm thinking it's a crack.

It's a small 1.5gal acrylic tank so I'm not too worried about it being one and having to get some aquatic safe silicon on it or just throwing the tank out. Personally not a fan of this one and want to upgrade it to glass and a larger one like a 5gal.

Only have some plants, seeds under the substrate, and some nerite snails in it.

Whatever it is, it's on the inside of the tank

My Betta Babies

The red is named Comet, he is a Orchid Betta, my newest one, I do plan on getting him a larger tank, just don't want to buy another till after I move houses.

The Blue is Adrian, she is a Half moon Betta (I think, don't remember)

Yes I keep them in separate tanks and keep a board between them so they can't see each other.

I do plan to get her a bigger tank as well. When I get new tanks for them I'm going to work on my hardscaping and get more live plants, I know there's a lot I can improve on but I'm doing my best for them currently to make them happy.

I do want to try to breed them, but I'll also wait till I move and get other materials to do so.

Ps. Yes there's markings on Adrian's tank, friend thought it would be funny to use dry erase marker on it for April fools, I haven't been able to get it off so if you guys have tips for that I'm open

Questions for Ecosystems

New to this community but not new to maintaining Tanks, but I want to open my knowledge and ability to start my own Self Sustainable Environment.

I'm based out in the Valley of AZ.

So my real questions are

1.Whats the best place to find materials

2.what should I expect from the area I'm in

3.what is the best way to store closed environments.

And lastly, any other tips that are useful for beginner environments that can carry out to professional environments?
