Recently purchased a slim off of marketplace for a price I figured was too low and got what I deserved.

It dings with the touch of the power button and eject button , but it does not illuminate it's normal green led, in fact it doesn't even turn on the fans but it will make the ding noise. I'm not pro but I've done a bit of research and I think it may be the ribbon cable or the rf board attached to the ribbon cable not sending the correct specs to the motherboard to fully function. Any ideas or thoughts on how to repair this so it's not an entire loss?
