With Yuya and Oiwa now cemented as top stars for years to come, Tsuji already established, I've actually come to the realization today that through all of this I'm still rooting for Shota.
He's endured a lot more hardship then all of them, even having this terribly timed injury after it seemed like the fans had got behind him at Dominion. The payoff for Shota will be huge if done right, and I'm never going to lose faith in him.
My only concern now is that between Shota, Tsuji, Yuya and Oiwa, we don't have a definitive heel, nor do we have a definitive face. I know that's never really been New Japan's style, and it does work better when the dynamics change based on the matchup, but I wonder if they'll put one of these in a heel position.
Unrelated, but do we think Yuto is able to embed himself in this lineup of aces? I've heard many say his ceiling is either tag wrestler or upper midcarder, though I definitely see him as a potential main eventer.
I've heard predictions that the LPL will die in the next 4 years, and with large orgs like FPX and RNG dropping out, it is a worrying prospect.
