I’ve been leaving free paintings around for a few years, here's one I recently ran into of James Baldwin at Baldwin and Co. the Coffee Shop in New Orleans

testing the PCL with SteamVR using the sboys3 driver (in MSFS 2024)

There's of course noticeable distortion until we get custom distortion profiles for the PCL. I can't comment on performance, I haven't done side by side comparisons but subjectively, it seems like there's less latency with smoother head movements? Is this just placebo?

Inspired by some of the messaging from vince staple’s new album

I think this is a very obvious position to have but it is genuinely surprising to me that after all these decades of growth, education, technological innovation, globalization, etc. the best option we have to handle disagreement between countries is to… kill people?

trying out the new iFly update in VR - landin gat KMSY

works perfectly in VR if anyone is curious. clickspots are intuitive. VR zoom function is functional and doesn't transport you outside the cockpit. performance wise for me at least, is about on par with the PMDG, maybe slightly more heavy, when used in similar conditions

on the topic of steroids

Have you all found any lasting benefit of steroids by mouth versus IM steroids?

Prednisone at 20 mg bid for me is usually helpful (doesn’t fully remove the attacks but it does reduce the intensity for me). If I miss a dose, I flare again. It made me wonder if anyone has had any experience with IM (longer acting, steady concentration, self taper) steroids?

If so, what doses have been therapeutic for you?

(VR) 777-200 ER single engine landing on VATSIM at KLAX

LAX_CTR had a little window where he could accommodate a diversion back to KLAX after I had an engine failure during the late climbout (forgot to disable failures after on offline session). he was able to vector me back around for 25L even while managing a busy airspace. it was serious fun, and a first for me!

followed the checklists, and got the aircraft back to MLW by fuel dumping!
