I'm currently switching my puppy from one kibble to another. On the back of the pack it says for a 6 month old puppy who's adult weight will be 10-25kg they should be having 255g of kibble. I'm a little confused why the weight range is so large considering a 6 month puppy that will weigh 10kg is going to be significantly smaller than a 6 month puppy that will weigh 25kg. Am I the only one who finds this odd? Do I just give her 255g despite her being towards the lower end of the weight range and see what happens? Should I give her slightly less? She currently weighs 9kg and as an adult should weigh roughly 13kg. Her current kibble gives a ranged amount of grams per day and you decide based on your puppies expected weight within the weight range how much kibble they should have.

She is 6 months old, english cocker spaniel (show line) and weighs roughly 8.3kg. Symptoms include chewing on paws, chewing and excessive cleaning of stomach/groin area, slight redness on stomach/groin (probably caused by the over cleaning), ear infections in both ears, itching at ears and stomach, loose stool (though this has improved massively since putting her on a probiotic course for 3 days). I think that's everything.
I took her to the vet where they gave her an allergy shot to help reduce itchiness (which did help for a little while) and we treated her ear infections (about 6 days apart), we also did a fecal test which showed no abnormalities (so no worms etc). I asked them if they thought this was a food allergy/intolerance or if it was more likely to be an environmental allergy due to having such high pollen etc in the area. They were not sure. Her current food is harringtons turkey and rice which she was put on by the breeder, it does have chicken in it. The vet didn't recommend an elimination diet but did seem on board with me changing her food to one not containing chicken which I am doing very slowly as her stomach is quite sensitive. I know it's not fully possible to tell from just this information, and I'm not asking for a diagnosis, but does anyone have any advice on how to proceed if changing her food does not reduce her symptoms. The one I am moving her onto does not have chicken but is still poultry based (turkey), should I avoid poultry all together or is it ok to eliminate chicken first and then all poultry if there's no improvement? The vet I go to has not been overly helpful and I'm a bit lost. I did also ask her breeder if either parent or any other littermates have any allergies and she said the parents do not but doesn't know about the other puppies. She now wears a snood when eating her meals and when out on walks and I wipe her paws and stomach after we arrive home but she is still itchy so I'm not sure how much it's helping.

In the last week my brother and I (we both have english cockers) have spent a combined £500 on ear infections (my puppy) and grass seed getting stuck in ears (my brothers dog). GET A SNOOD. Even though they look a little stupid and at first your dog WILL hate it, it is so much better than spending hundreds at the vets because your dog got grass seed stuck in their ear canal or infections IN BOTH EARS WITHIN THE SAME WEEK. My girls is in the post and my brother is shopping for one as we speak for his own dog. Those little ear covers that make them look like aeroplanes are good too just please cover their ears when they eat and when you take them on walks.

She's an 18 week old english cocker spaniel who I've had now for 10 weeks. We have sectioned off part of the garden for her as most of the garden has flowers and plants that could be toxic if eaten (and trust me she'll eat them) so she has access to our patio and a small amount of grass. The problem is she digs to find rocks and then sits chewing on them, I read to just ignore the behaviour and she'll eventually get bored, but I recently have found two rocks in her poo on separate occasions. I am now worried that she is not just chewing but actually trying to eat the rocks.

I do not know how to get her to stop. I have tried trading them for a treat, I have tried telling her to leave it, I have tried watching her like a HAWK whenever we're outside but nothing is working. I am now at the point where I am having to grab rocks out of her mouth multiple times every single time we go outside. she. does. not. stop. She also bites down incredibly hard on my fingers when I try to take them out of her mouth and has broken the skin multiple times. I don't know what to do. I am so worried she'll develop a blockage or break a tooth or choke. She does know leave it, but so far it rarely works when applied to "higher value" items (like rocks). I also offer her a bone to chew instead of rocks whenever I have to take one away from her but she still would rather find a rock to chew on. Please help, my hands are covered in bite marks and I'm so exhausted by having to catch her to pry things out of her mouth.

TLDR; nothing is working, she will not stop eating rocks.

I have a 4 month old cocker spaniel, we've had her since she was 2 months old. I have been trying to get her used to being alone more as I am planning on going back to work, but she panics the second I step out of the room, even if somebody else is still with her. I can't even go in the bathroom by myself without her howling and trying to dig through the door to get to me. I read that the time apart needs to be built up and it's best to reenter the room before she gets stressed, but she becomes stressed the second the door closes. She howls and barks and whines and paces around. I read that even if you just shut the door for one second and then open it you can build up from there, but THE SECOND I shut the door, she starts panicking. A few times I have ignored her and waited to reenter when she is quiet for a few seconds, but she is always sat outside the door waiting for me. How do I help her? I have tried giving her lick mats before stepping out of the room to make the experience more positive, but she abandons them once I start to walk away. I admit I should have started as soon as we brought her home, but she couldn't be trusted even in her crate as she bites at the bars and has on occasion gotten her jaw stuck and I've had to help her as she then starts to panic. I know this is separation anxiety, but there's been so little improvement I feel defeated.
